It's almost certainly a charter for the Chiefs. Visiting teams playing the 49ers or Raiders practice in Santa Clara, so the SJC stop makes sense. I'm guessing the SJC-OAK segment is a ferry, but does anyone know if they're crazy enough to put the team on that flight instead of just busing them?

Oh. Yeah, I should've checked the times. It's clearly not on the ground in OAK long enough for a football game to be played.

Captain Denny - in print
This is your Captain...
I saw this article in a magazine and thought it so good I had to share.
He goes the extra mile, if only the attitude and service he provides was corporate.

I had no idea that Capt. Flanagan lived in Richfield! That's right around the corner from me. I'm assuming he commutes to ORD via CLE. I fly CLE-ORD-CLE all the time and I have yet to see him. I guess I will have to keep my eyes peeled.

He is indeed a great ambassador for United, and beyond that, just a generally wonderful human being.
I've had 2 experiences with him in the last year. The second being last week...He remembered me from our encounter 3 months prior--even remembering my line of work and ALMOST nailed the O/D of the flight saying, wasn't I taking you to Vegas? (It was ORD-IAH, and he was continuing on to LAS the next morning, I was going on to LAS that night).
He gave my wife a tour of the cockpit, as he gave me a few months prior...And offered another 'Age of Flight' book, but we already have one on the coffee table.
He makes flying fun again and reminds me of the good ol' days.
