My fiancee and I were in 8A&B upgraded back in March. Too bad we missed one another.
I was on that flight (op-upped from business to first but I digress). Where were you sitting?

Had the good fortune to be flown by Capt Denny today from SFO to BOS on UA589. Our original flight deck crew was stuck in Seattle with a mechanical, and after being delayed an hour, Capt Denny took command as he was originally scheduled to fly to BOS later that day on a different flight.
He came aboard at the last moment; provided plenty of information about the flight and how he planned to make up lost time, including fuel consumption stat; and got us safely on our way. CH9 on for the entire trip
(rare these days with contract negotiations underway), and he even took the time to write a personal handwritten note to each passenger in F thanking them for their business and loyalty, and encouraging feedback. The people sitting either side of me were completely amazed - its this kind of effort that sets him apart.

Just got off UA 423 DCA-DEN with Captain Flanagan. Excellent service and flight experience, including personal notes to each FC passenger on the back of Captain Flanagan's business card.

Captain Denny was deadheading from Cleveland to Chicago on UA 1085 today to rest up for the four day series of trips beginning tomorrow. Comfortablynumb was also on the flight and met Captain Denny for the first time.
