Anybody had issues with plus points posting this week? I earned 20 on Sunday and they have not posted yet. They usually post within a day.

GS always have priority on the waitlist. Absent IT error, a GS will always list ahead of a 1K.

Yes, but a non-GS on a GS instrument would be in exactly the situation that's described: ahead on the Polaris list (PN vs PZ) but behind on the P+ list (no difference in GS vs non0-GS instruments for P+).

Probably need to get a rep from UA to clear up what's hanging up your PP applications.

I did talk to an agent @ mileage plus and was told that they are now taking at least a week to be posted. Well, it has been 12 days since crossing 59K and fingers are still twiddling.... |

Yes, I came here to ask the same question. They usually post really quickly (no more than 2 days) but this time, my partner has yet receive for 59K, 61K, and 63K - that's 60 points behind.

Question:
JFK-SFO and then same day return SFO-EWR (all on one ticket). I can select PlusPoints option to waitlist on both flights; thereafter, however, only the outbound flight (JFK-SFO) has PP waitlist applied (20 points). Going back to the upgrade cabin page, it now says "No upgrades available" (not even waitlist options). How can I apply PP on both segments? Do I need to call UA? |
So I’m waitlisted with PP on FRA-IAD next month. I’ve confirmed multiple times that I am on the upgrade list (both for Premium Plus and Polaris).
However, I’m only showing 20 PPs requested. Is that correct? |
Does a PP upgrade follow the status of the traveler or requestor? Have a GS Friend sponsoring my upgrade and just curious.

Looks like my missing points just posted

This is not correct. You can cancel it if none of other segments has been cleared. The correct amount is either 40 points (W fare class and above) or 80 points (S, T, L, K and G). 20 points suggest that you only selected a US domestic segment for upgrade, not the overwater segment.
I cleared the domestic leg on an M fare, not using PP. I'll call again and have then cancel and reapply - but does time of request impact waitlist position. I've been told I'm #2 on list, so not sure why the disconnect here. I am on an M fare, which at least should help, but no PZ inventory currently. Also, the flight sometimes isn't even available for booking in economy, but at least 19 seats up front still. Also, app shows segment as waitlisted, but not online. Update: Called and they applied the correct amount (with the original 20 still shown as requested, but agent said it would sort itself out, even after the flight). So, we will see. |
Glitch with points applied within two days of departure
Twice this week, I've used the UA app or site to apply a PlusPoints update to a flight departing within two days--as in, I threw in the upgrade once I could see the upgrade list-- and have the reservation remain unchanged after the app or site reported a successful waitlist transaction. Calling in worked... and reminded me that while the app or site will require 20 points per domestic segments, phone agents can only apply those 20 points to the entire reservation. Which is a excellent reason to call and ignore the site and app if your itinerary involves two long flights that both would represent a good use of an upgrade.
