Have they actually sent the invitations? as I said in my post above, I qualified for GS and my app changed Jan 3, but I didn't receive any email, phone call, or physical mail. Still haven't gotten anything.

people who have gotten invited for next year see a clear message on mystatus.united.com

Just as a data point, I have been GS since 2019 with at least 70,000PQP on all United metal every year. Million miler. In 2022 I finished with 86,000PQP all on United. Mostly business class tickets on international flights. Below is my PQP for 2023. Still waiting to get a GS invite for 2024. I have two colleagues who are in the same boat. One with even more PQP in 2023. All waiting for an invite. Our company allows us to use any airline we want for travel. We make the reservations on the company website. The fares do tend to be discounted, but because we have to book refundable, it is often possible to get cheaper tickets (non refundable) directly from United. Regardless, the amount of traveling we do is obviously significant. The only reason I post this is because if United decides not to invite us back, it would indicate a significant policy change on their part regarding the GS program. It would also result in me (and the others as well) dropping a very significant amount of travel from United. No point in chasing GS if you can’t be one. I’ll requalify for 1K in late Feb. We’ll know in a few days.

are you in SFO? To my knowledge nobody has gotten SFO invites yet

No. Not SFO. But it looks like there are SFO people who have received invites.

I would be very surprised if you and your work colleagues dont make it. Obviously the system processes in waves. You'll know in a week. If you dont make it, I have a contact at UA in Corp sales and we can lean on him to give us the skinny...:)

It looks like its total dollars spent on paid tickets on UA-metal divided by actual physical miles flown (not bonus miles etc).

So Cost Per Mile

how does one figure out the physical miles flown? In the activity statement, one sees base miles but they don't appear to the actual miles flown.

SFO based with 57K PQP (all UA metal minus bonus), 42 segments, 5 years as GS and still biting nails waiting for 2024 outcome.

Compare lifetime miles on "My United" before & after flight, or on Jan 1st and Dec 31st. Keep a spreadsheet, etc etc

Unfortunately did not track this at the end of 2022.

There are. I think you can see them on the spreadsheet.

Hi - almost identical boat (and SFO as well). Surprised about the number of us SFO-ers still waiting

My digital card updated sometime during the last day from 1/2024 to 1/2026. I guess they figure my lifetime (and UA's) will last two years 🤣

Chukiechz Jan 8, 2024 3:59 pm

checked app and requalified. 55k pqp, 117 pqf. SNA based. 9th year as GS I think

A number of sites will tell you segment distances (close enough to what UA uses), such as Great Circle Mapper

Other flight diary tools will give you annual totals, two I have used are OpenFlights.org: Flight logging, mapping, stats and sharing and https://www.flightmemory.com/

As others have mentioned record your UA Lifetime Miles on 31 Dec each year and the delta gives you your annual flight miles on UA.

I just checked my UA App last night and I was upgraded from 1k to GS! I haven't received any notifications or anything in the mail. But it says valid through 01/2025. I'm at SFO. 50,500 PQP in 2023. Been 1K for about 10 yrs. First time GS.
