I have been the MileagePlus member for almost 20 years but don't really use UA that often until last year (Yr22) when I relocated to US in Q4. So, I only barely got a gold from UA last year mainly due to the shorter time frame. However, this year (Yr23) I managed to clock 64K+ PQP via sub 50 PQF out from DFW. I am wondering if that is enough to make me a GS for 2024, if not, is there anything I can do before the mid of Jan when they announce the newly qualified GS? Tks.

Ended the year with about 55K PQP and CPM of 52. Will be pretty bummed/annoyed if I don't requal, especially after 70K and 90K PQP in the prior two years, respectively, when I had colleagues requalifying with PQP as low as 25K (in 2022 -- I think everyone got the COVID extension after 2021 regardless of PQP).

I'm 83.4K PQP, of which 73.6K are on UA metal (primarily Polaris between EWR <--> Europe). I estimate UA CPM to be ~71 (based on Flighty mileage; not sure if there is a more scientific way to get that figure?) I'm 1K and hope to see GS this year, but sounds like it will be a tough year overall for first-timers.

Interesting, seems early and I thought they weren't starting new GS invites until next week. Maybe they have changed things up this year. Did you receive the welcome phone call too?
No phone call or email yet. Just updated status on website. |
My wife was upgraded to GS today
67,244 total PQP - 59,272 on UA metal - $0.59 CPM
First time GS. SFO home airport No call or email received as of 4:15pm PDT |
Woohoo just checked as well and it shows GS. 1K 2 years in a row. Platinum for many before that. $42k spend last year but not all united metal. This year $49k spend all united metal, lots of segments but 75% of that came from just 3-4 international trips in J. Very excited!!!!!!!

Made GS today for the first time after 1k last year and bottom-ish tier status for a few years before that (moved from NY to NJ in 2022). 51k PQP / 29 PQF in 2023, with a lot of trans-con and trans-atlantic in business class. Based in EWR.
