I haven't received any communications from United, but my status changed to GS today on the app/website.

IAH-based
62,500 total PQP in 2023
~55,000 United Metal PQP
~45k on Polaris segments
1K 2021-2023, ~$30k PQP in 2022.

Status still under review as of today. 1st time GS in 2020 then covid extended through 2022. Re qualified last year with about $29k PQP. This year $48k PQP with 37 segments. EWR based. I think I'm going to be right on the cusp.

GS agent in Denver told me in Nov that they are preparing for a "significant increase in GS members". Doesn't bode well for any GS member should that be accurate.

Hey, we’ve finally found out how United could cull (I said it) the ranks of the 1ks!

CLE based- Was GS leading up to and through COVID but that was a result of pass plus. Since i'm not based in a major hub im really hoping for a miracle with my 2023 numbers below.

46 PQF
35066 PQP
CPM $0.502

I'll be your GS lap infant. We can get on the plane even earlier.

I thought this year would be my GS year after ~12-14 years of 1K straight. Last year I had 8 International trips (all but one Europe/Asia), 7 in Polaris. Many coast to coast domestic (some business and some economy).

Stats:
SFO based

62.6K PGP (including the 2.5K? bonus), 49 PQF, all United metal except for short connections in Europe, e.g., FRA to Berlin, etc. One exception was a return to SFO from Paris got cancelled while we were on board due to mechanical and they got me on an Air Canada flight that was just leaving (had to run to another terminal w/ a GS who did not make it because she couldn't check-in before the cutoff without the Air Canada app already installed and they wouldn't let her board 1st class).

I guess I'm not going to make it looking at the reports...

Oh, and also 1.4M lifetime...

Jrbasir1 Jan 4, 2024 6:23 pm

SFO based, been 1k for over 4 years
this year 52,4XX PQP and 142 segments
Mostly demostic refundable.
Hope to make it no update yet.

Might be too early to give up hope

You should have request Orignal Routing Credit (ORC), might not be too late for ORC or could be use in a request for a re-review or challenge

I'm sure you're not allowed to say this anymore, but I'll try the politically correct version.

It's not over until the plus size lady sings...:)

Give it another week or so.

142 segments out of a hub airport. That’s impressive!! Hope you get GS!

CPM is cents per mile, 100*UA PQPs/flight miles for those PQPs, you will need to separate out the non-UA PQPs and miles. This may be easy or not

Although there is no evidence it is used for qualification, GS trend to be 40-50 CPM or higher.
The idea is the higher your CPM, it is a measure of your profitability for UA.

It looks like its total dollars spent on paid tickets on UA-metal divided by actual physical miles flown (not bonus miles etc).

So Cost Per Mile

Cents per Mile, it is a standard FT metric, but Cost per Mile works
