mystatus.united.com updated GS for me and my MM companion. But the APP card is still showing a 1/2024 expiration. 4MM LT GS here.

Got the check back in Jan note. Over 70k PQP net of the kicker. All UA metal. GS since 16. Over $5k of travel left through the year that I will now be giving to Alaska and Delta.

I would not jump ship yet unless you have status with Delta and Alaska and will received similar benefits from them.
I have been a GS since inception, and there was one time back in 2016, my GS was not confirmed until the second week of January despite it was my highest spending year with UA ($120K+)

Don't get disappointed and upset yet.:)

A fair point for sure. Travel policy changed this year such that most of my flights for work were booked economy then I paid myself to upgrade. I’m worried that might be a ding against me, but over $70k spent is still over $70k spent.

So you are deciding that since UA has not requalified you in the early tranche, instead of hoping/expecting to be requaled in the January trance and continuing your UA flying, you are going to instead intentionally reduce your likelihood of requalification?

It’s more that if over $70k wasn’t enough for the first tranche, when plenty of lower PQP numbers got there, then what the heck is the point? With my remaining future travel this year Delta and Alaska have better schedules and I have status on both. No sense stretching to give UA the extra dough.

Invited? Or requalified?

You're calling the GS line and up-faring? If so, it counts.

Not calling, doing it online

I think you're better off going to the "change" screen and clicking first for the same flight you're on. I find it's often cheaper and it processes as a P or Z or what have you fare rather than an upgrade.

My Digital Card now shows Jan '25 as an expiration date. We will see, I am just over 53k spent for the year, with an Asian trip canceled in November.

And just now noticed that I got the welcome banner congratulating me for requlifying GS for 2024.
