Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, I haven’t found it anywhere and I’m blanking about whatever has been done in the past… is UA going to roll over any excess PQPs from 2021 into 2022? I hit 1K last year, and then some… do I just lose all those extra PQPs?

A UA operated regardless of ticket stock or flight codesharing earnings based on the UA fare appraoch. It can be challenging to figure that number out in advance when purchased on non-UA ticket stock. And you can use PlusPoints on any UA operated flight

More to the point upgrade offers, even without a waitlisted instrument, are not always available. why?? who knows.

Note some differences have been noted between the app and online. Worth checking both.

Thanks WineCountryUA. I don't get it either, but I will keep checking and see what happens. What is frustrating is the lack of any consistency. Maybe I will call up and see what the good folks say.

Is it possible to use UA miles towards the cash value of a ticket, similar to DL Pay with Miles? Would like to use PlusPoints but of course can’t use on a standard award ticket as non GS.

EDIT: Found answer. Yes, Money plus Miles.

You will have to define "ultimate."

The Card with most benefits and most expensive but open to new customers is Chase United Club Infinite Credit Card --- new offering

United Club SM Infinite Card - Chase Credit Cards

The major difference with the PresPlus was FlexPQPs but that is most gone from the PresPlus. The PresPlus is still the top PQP earning card..

Chase Sapphire Reserve. More valuable than any United branded card.

Be flexible and start looking early. I recently booked J awards from US to Australia for 99K one-way.

Check frequently. On Friday we booked Polaris SMF-SFO-CDG one way for 87.5K in April. The same fare had been at 155K for the last few months.

Last minute J awards can also be a good deal. We had to change plans recently and booked ZRH-SFO-PHX same day departure for 75k.

It can otherwise be very challenging to redeem for anything close to 1 cpm. Though UA is releasing more IN now if you're Plat or higher.
