Having had both, I would vote for the chicken

CLE-MCO, June 20, 8:19 am departure, 737-900
Marketed as "Snack". Received preorder notification in the UA app at T-5 days with a choice of Scrambled eggs/ham dish or Belgian waffle.
PDB offer of water, OJ or "something else from the galley" aka full bar.
FA came around to take meal and drink orders and noted my preorder of the scrambled eggs.
Bloody Mary delivered before meal, full can of mix and 2 vodka minis with a real glass filled with ice.
No complaints here, miles better than the goopy overheated "everything bagel" heart attack sandwich.

Thank you for posting! I was just about to ask if they're catering the hot meals out of the Cleveland kitchen. I won't be going until September, but I'm on a CLE-DEN flight that's listed as a breakfast flight, and this would be very nice.

Here's an interesting one. Just flew UA1682 SJO-IAH, which leaves at 3 AM and arrives around 7:30 AM. For unknown reasons catering loaded dinner, not breakfast. Glad they did though. It was actually pretty good. It was explained as "chicken." Tasted like some sort of marinated chicken with a warm tomato salsa of some sort, cheese risotto (or polenta?), greens, and a salad. The chicken was actually juicy. One of the better non-Polaris UA meals I've had. Odd to have it at 4:00 AM, but whatever.

This FA should be teaching other FAs how to best serve the Bloody Mary components. 2 minis/can is the right proportion.

And 2 rum minis per can of Coke is correct proportion.

I guess 2 minis for everything should be standard.

I had pre-ordered the Za'atar Chicken, but the FA said it was not the Za'atar Chicken he had seen elsewhere and it indeed was different.

It was a nice grilled chicken whole muscle breast in a lemony sauce over the orzo and spinach.

There was no red drizzle that I have seen in other pics here.

Also instead of a pie in the sky, it was a warmed snickerdoodle cookie which I actually preferred.

As a side note, this was the absolute best service I have experienced on UA that I can remember. I would say the FA was DL levels of good and I rate DL as having the best FAs.

Booked ORD-COS on A319 next week departing at 1002. Website says "snack" but flight is 911 miles. What should I expect? Thanks!

Wife and I are on ORD-SAT tonight, app says “snack”. Thought this would now be a meal at 1000 miles+?
