So much food on UA1882 LAX-EWR redeye (31 Jan).
Thai chicken/noodles with salad and a big piece of cheesecake plus mixed nuts and bread (hot).
Then a hot croissant and yogurt prior to arrival:

Looks right. I had no food EWRIAD and box MIAIAH. MIAEWR should be same.

Another fresh fruit bowl ex-IAH! Looks like the days of grapes and bananas may be behind (but alas, the dreary choices of egg white bites or waffle candy remain).
PS — PDB tray of OJ or water brought around on a tray but other requests were accommodated. Crew was unusually strict on mask requirements, repeating them multiple times over PA.

Here I took 777-300ER from San Francisco to Denver, nice Polaris seat with domestic meal…. The plane came from Germany so I expected that they carry some leftover German beer or champagne but they were all removed before my flight…
Pre-Depreture drinks were water and sparkling wine (although the FA told me it’s champagne…).
my main dish was polenta. Sparkling wine was super bubbly….

The other day I flew IAH-ORD hub-to-hub and had great chicken with rice. Chicken was juicy and very tasty.
Service from 2 ORD-based F/A's (it was a domestic B757) was excellent.

I hope that polenta rotates off the menu soon, it's one of the worst dishes I've ever had from any airline in class. It's literally like gnawing on a salt block.

I don't think the polenta is actually that salty, although I have seen several people here comment to that effect.
It has a light but definite amount of spice (piquant), which I did initially confuse for being overly salted. But I've had it a couple of times now, and it doesn't leave me thirsty after eating, which is something I'm quite sensitive to.
But overall, as an entree, I think it's lacking, sort of like having porridge for dinner.

I only hesitatingly order it (ragu) when I just can’t stomach the chicken at the time. I’ve just had it too many times.
Perhaps they can swap out both. I don’t mind another chicken dish, just change up the sauce and sides. Maybe mushroom? Marinara? Etc.
