Unclear - so a) did you pre-order the chicken and b) did the crew still ask what your order is/was?

Also, since this was catered ex-LAX, where are the blueberries?

ex-LAX firs time I've seen the pie in the sky served on an actual plate rather than a napkin placed on the tray linen. Also I wonder what is this pasta option? Is it a new item loaded into the rotation

Pretty sure he means the ragu polenta...I've seen no notice of catering changes.

I was on a flight recently where someone asked the FA if the ragu dish was a pasta dish and the FA said that they thought it was. I probably should have interjected.

Bad news - I also didn't get blueberries out of LAX this week. At least we haven't gone full IAH yet!

Blueberries might be another victim of global supply challenges.

Naw. Quite plentiful here in the Los Angeles area (great air freight service from South America). However, prices are increasing so UA LAX Catering may be economizing again...

Yet all the Trader Joe’s around me are happily filled with blueberries.

I suspect maybe just this week LAX has a shortage of said blueberries so hopefully it should be back in those fruit bowls in the coming days or weeks

I was going to say the same thing — and I noticed a stinginess in blueberries on LAX-IAH 2 weeks ago. Sounds like either budget cuts, or UA should be sourcing their blueberries from Trader Joe’s.

Breakfast aboard UA 344 from HNL-IAD on 01/08/2022. Thanks to UA for providing breakfast on this flight. I did not care for the Hawaiian breakfast faves, Portuguese sausage and rice, but I am sure they were welcomed by others. I should have opted for the fruit plate. This is where a menu would have been helpful. TO the F/A's credit, the croissant was served warm.

Any hot sauce? For me, Hawaiian Breakfast is un-edible without hot sauce. Preferably Siracha.

Well, given the density of FT 1Ks and others who are LAX, we should be on this: the LAX Blueberry Catering Caper! Report back!
