SFO, Airbus D checks, heavy 772 maint, other maint.
IAH, light maint, slimlines on 73G
MIA, 753 ISP, 763 main/WiFi, some 757 maint,
MCN, 737 maint, slimlines, has done some 763 WiFi and maint

XMN, 772 and 744 maintenance

They handle a set of flights for a period of time, but it changes every once in a while. Right now, they're handling LAX-NRT/PVG. Before that they were doing LAX-DEN/LHR. IIRC back when the grievance was first settled and 789s allocated to sUA they were running one of the two daily SFO-PVG and something else, maybe SFO-TPE?

Ah didn't realize the new 789s went to sUA instead of sCO — does this mean the remainder of the 789s coming in this/next year (#971 through 974) will be sUA as well?

1. all 777 converted to Polaris (i assume all the non-HD ones) by Spring 2020 (earlier than reported previously)

2. another manufacturer is making Polaris seat shells now, making overall process faster (supposedly this is the most difficult manufacturing step)

3. should have "3 or 4" 767 done this year (i expected up to 5 previously)

4. first 777 retrofit in November (not sure coming out in November or going into retrofit in November)

Bringing an additional manufacturer into the fold is a good move to speed up the retrofitting, IMHO. Provided it doesn't become the source of new production hiccups. Maybe this is the reason why Spring 2020 is the new estimate for the completion of the fifty-five 772 retro-fittings.

A conversion of four 763s by year end should be feasible, given that the second 763 should be ready to be put back into service within the next two weeks or so if the two months it took to retrofit, perform heavy maintenance etc. of the first 762 conversion is any indication. (And a third 763 already in HKG for retro-fitting since early September).

A "first retrofit in November" contradicts what United put up on its progress tracker as of yesterday which states for the 772 conversion: "Aircraft will start to be retrofitted in early 2018." But maybe UA is just playing it safe at this point and built in some buffer into that statement.

Still, I wonder if this information was conveyed during yesterday's earnings call. Adding a second company to manufacture the Polaris seats and a resulting faster retrofitting rate of the 772s sounds like positive news to me, which was badly needed during yesterday's all round rather negative call from what I have heard.

All 789s are staffed by sub CO and the new to be delivered 789s will be staffed by sub CO as well. My mistake as I hadn't realized sub CO got more of the sub UA 789s. Also looks like the 787-10 (at least until FA integration) will be staffed by sub CO.

UAX Update

CR2:
N459AW (2003 build) is now flying UAX with Air Wisconsin (16th ZW CR2 added to the fleet)

E45:
N36915 has left the fleet, stored at IGM
N13914 is in for fleet exit prep

E45X:
N14162 has left ExpressJet, in preparation for transfer to CommutAir

E7W:
N85356 entered UAX revenue service 21Oct with Mesa (N85355 still in induction)

968-970 are still 78U and staffed by sUA flight attendants. Currently they're sticking on LAX-NRT and LAX-PVG routes.

As for the 787-10, hopefully common metal will happen on time in October and there will be no sUA/sCO aircraft anymore.

Assume you mean 16 is too many

That is 16 Air Wisconsin, not counting the OTHER CRJs in the RJ fleet (while E17x is technically RJ, for most part they are better than single isle mainline).

I hope they launch PE with the 772 refit. 10 across is sooooo bad.

November could be when there first one goes in with an "early 2018" exit from retrofit.
