UA almost did not want my money!
 

Tried to book xxx-EWR-XIY-EWR-xxx round trip. On the payment step, it was errored out on both .com and App. Called UA agent and she claimed that the fare did not exist anymore and wanted me to pay more. I did not give up! I tried to book an open jaw, yyy-XIY-EWR-xxx. It worked and .com took my money. Then I changed outbound to xxx-XIY and then changed to xxx-EWR-XIY. I got exactly the same flights at the same price as my first booking that was errored out. :(

Does the ual.com address not work anymore? I know it's silly, but I always got in the habit of typing ual.com ever since that was more or less the official URL in the late 90s. Whenever I type it in, it just remains loading, while united.com loads right away. Guess I better update my bookmarks too.

Thanks for that. I guess I've been booking DL so much recently that I didn't notice. Too bad it's not working anymore. I still remember when "ual.com" used to be on commercials and print materials.

Web Site Problem w/ RT booking
 

Trying to look at SEA-OGG for next March, choosing outbound flight went OK, but got a "cannot complete your request" to show return flights. Anyone having similar difficulties w/ RT planning? Or is it a flaky wi-fi connection in the place (away from SEA) where I happen to be at the moment?

Been occasional reports in this thread of similiar issues. Tends to go away on its own or just try another browser.

Reservation Oddity - Not Storing MP Number
 

Had an odd issue and it's the second time I've had it so posting here. Sign in to United, book a flight and select myself as the traveler (1K, over $30K PQD this year, ~150K PQM), and when it comes to select seats it says I can pay extra for economy plus. Stick with economy and just book through. Go back into the reservation and still can't select economy plus seats and it shows the little banner that I can book premier access to board earlier...

I edit traveler and notice it has no MP number for me (Even though I signed in with that, the profile has it set in the appropriate place), so I manually re-enter the number and then can select economy plus seats.

Wondering if anyone else has seen this.

Sounds like the "logged in, but not really logged in" issue with the Web site.

I've definitely seen that. It also offers me three different flavors of Economy Plus extras (for additional fees) that I would normally get as a 1K. Agreed that it seems like a semi-logged-in issue.

E+ Extras are for sale even if you are fully logged in.

Fair enough. Last night was the first time I'd seen that during checkout, and it seemed strange.

Tried to apply a GPU to an upcoming flight but the "Redeem Upgrade" button wasn't active. Had to call in and have an agent do it.

The "recent searches" dropdown list never populates for me now, even when fully logged in. It's blank regardless of platform, so I don't think it's a corrupted cookie. And it's maddening, since I'm checking a few multi-city itineraries daily.

It never worked well for me, but it hasn't worked at all for a couple of weeks, so my experience is the same as yours. :td:
