Any suggestions on how to force a 23 hour connection in SFO on a HNL-LHR return leg in the flight search on a paid ticket.

I'm trying to book UA724 (1355 ex HNL arr SFO 2041) then UA930 next day (Dep 1940)

Trying to book a one stop gives me no options. Removing filters gives UA724 as an option, but with 2 stops via SFO/EWR only.

ITA gives the option, at the correct price for a K fare.

Can't you ring up United and quote all the details from ITA and have them book it in those classes. The website today has been a positively miserable and confusing experience for me. I got there in the end but it took much playing.

Did the "book a specific fare class" option just disappear, or am I missing something?

It was working yesterday for me. The reason I know that is because the "Use a GPU" (or whatever the verbiage is) dropdown box wasn't so I pasted in the classes I wanted. But it was rather moody yesterday to say the least.

Sadly, I have no idea about Greasemonkey tools and wouldn't know where to start, either installing or using. I can just about use ITA using the help facility fof coding.

"Book a specific fare class" is back, but "Upgrade Reservation" is broken for me as well on all itineraries. Anyone have the previous link by chance?

Does booking using multi city work (ie hnl-sfo one day, sfo-lhr the next)? I've used that successfully with OTA's to get 23hr "layovers", but I have no idea if it works for UA.

I've used Multi City bookings to build 23 hour layovers into my itineraries before. That was 2 - 3 years ago, i.e., before recent enhancements.

I was going to say that trying multi city doesn't work because the system since the rule change for using cheaper buckets for domestic journets, but they seemed to have fixed it. Priced out perfect on a three leg ticket.

The way the website constantly wipes out the search parameters I just entered (e.g., SFO-BUD) in favor of a prior search (e.g., SFO-SAN) is truly, endlessly annoying.

Or when it loses advanced search settings when a search query is edited.

New(?) UA.sux seat picking bug - shows occupied when available

After picking seats today on a 2 cabin 763 I went to expertflyer to set an alert for better seats only to find the seats I wanted were actually available.

UA showed 21DEF occupied (screenshot is from after I went back and picked 21D):

EF showed 21DEF available:
http://i.imgur.com/w0WMXvD.png

I went back to UA and it let me pick 21D and the change saved.

Also note EF shows 22A occupied and 21A/22L blocked while UA shows those seats available. So what they're publishing on GDS doesn't match what the website is showing in both directions.

Another advantage for the frequent fliers to be aware of.

requesting missing mileage for *A partners now re-directs me to 'missing E+ purchase credit' ... guess I will have to call to get the missing LH flights added.

UAL Website Question

1 Attachment(s)
Moderator – feel free to move, but I could not find the answer to my questions in the website/authentication thread.

• I have multiple flights (some United, some LH) from 2+ weeks ago where mileage was not credited.
• The booking was made while logged into my account, had a United PNR and all boarding passes show my UA mileage number.
• I tried to request credit for the missing flights online:
o Mileage Plus Service Center - Request missing award miles.
o I am logged in, yet the system tells me to “sign in first”. When I do that, I get kicked to my home screen, in my account.
(rinse and repeat if I go back to the Mileage Plus Service Center)

o Tried another route – expanded the “Star Alliance” bullet, then clicked on “Submit request for credit”. That brings up the “request credit for Economy Plus Subscription”. (I have NEVER done anything related to “Economy Plus, visited that area on the site etc., and, yes, I absolutely positively am NOT clicking on the “Economy Plus” link at the bottom)

I have tried multiple times, over 5 days, with 4 different browsers and 3 different devices (and, yes, I logged out in between, cleared cache, browsing history and cookies).
Does anybody have advice, or can replicate this bizarre website behavior? I HAVE requested mileage credit in the past online, so don’t think that there is some systemic in my account.

This has been reported by multiple folks as broken for the past week.

In the meantime, use the normal Customer Care reporting site
mentioning the problems with the normal method.
