All post 3/3 flights posted properly to MileagePlus ...
I thought about calling United to see when my mileage from three flights I took after 3/3 would post, but decided to wait and see what happened. Judging from all the people on this channel that were calling constantly, I'm glad I didn't bother because the lines were jammed :p
Anyway, all the mileage showed up yesterday or today ... and in fact, it looks like one of my flights posted more than is normal. Will check it out later to figure out why. Probably because it's a different fare class than normal. BTW, finally flew the new lie-flat seats. They'd kept a plane with the old 156 deg seats on my main int'l routes and just introduced a 767-400 with the new seats. I gotta say, I like them a lot. I think United is now my favorite long-haul carrier. |

Issue #152,832 encountered thus far...
Checking in on the mobile app for a flight tomorrow (which also has my girlfriend on the same reservation #). Checked in myself, no option for mobile boarding pass - asks me to email or fax (which entirely defeats the purpose of using the app for me), I then go in and check her in on my phone just to see what sort of errors I've come to expect from UA. Her mobile boarding pass now shows on my device. Yes, I am logged into my account on my phone, not hers. Really great piece of software.. Thanks UA! I have already sent my letter into AA asking for a status match. After my trip tomorrow and a ORD-AMS-ORD trip the following week already booked, I am going to say bye bye to UA. Well on my way to GS this year (over $25k in C and F flown through mid-March), but I have no interest in sticking around for the "benefits".

Switching airlines over mobile boarding passes? Wow. Now that's a first world problem
That means that this is one of a long long list of issues I have had with UA lately. Read the entire post before you respond with some asinine comment. And then re-read it to make sure you absorbed everything it is saying before speaking up. Thanks. |
Leaving for Europe, still no Mileage Plus Gold Card
After two unanswered emails over the past two weeks, I just got off the phone with Mileage Plus customer service (first the automated, then the agent, then the supervisor) to ask why my new card hasn't arrived yet. The agent told me I had already received the card in December (she meant the little sticker extending the card's expiration to March 3). After five fruitless minutes without her being able to tell me when the card will arrive, she transferred me to the supervisor. This second person told me I could simply print a new card online, despite my insistence that that option is disabled on the UA website. I finally had to go online and read her the message before she would acknowledge it. In the end, she could only tell me that my card had been mailed and would arrive within two weeks (of course, the website told me within a week--and that was over a week ago; moreover, since when does mail take two weeks to get to Los Angeles?). Since I leave next Monday, this is hardly a solution. United needs to start being honest with us. I have this sinking feeling that I am going to be turned away from Star Alliance lounges in Zurich, Istanbul, and Frankfurt over the next two weeks and, when I return, all I'll get is another half-hearted apology. I'd like to know whether United will think it's alright for me to ask to have my status renewed with, say 45,000 PQMs. After all, why should we have to earn the full mileage requirement when we aren't getting a full year's worth of benefits?

Did you notice the "issue #xxx, xxx" comment at the top?

Shannon-
PQMs are still screwed up. Please let us know when it is time to telephone the 1K line. I am happy to give UA time to fix without clogging up the phone lines. But in return I would like to know when UA has decided that everything is fixed because mine are not (I now have add and subtract for all LH flights). |

After booking no opportunity to upgrade or buy any of the niceties. Called 1K number to get the Premier Executive line after 7-10 min wait. Explain that I wanted to apply GPUs to flight I just purchased. The agent did it. Hung up. Logged back on to check my seating. Adjusted my seating and noticed 4 GPUs missing. Called back. Another wait. Had a three way with MP and ticketing agent. Put on hold MP came back and said I had applied 4 SWUs. (???) I said no I had called and had another agent apply two GPUs to the trip. Hold again. Yes MP said she could see that. Dead air. The agent intercedes and ask MP if they could put the two GPUs back into my account. MP said she would ask her supervisor. MP returns and said she did it. Agent and I logged back into my account and saw them. I'm glad things are getting better. ;)

A few more observations/data points
Five transition issues:
1) Out of the six accounts I administer for family members, three had their e-mail address on file deleted. This was an easy fix. 2) In another case it was impossible to log-in with the old UA credentials (PW refused). Resetting the PW resulted in an e-mail notification to the e-mail address on file - with the e-mail stating "there's no e-mail address on file". Ahem. 3) International travel without my 1K card since it arrived too late for a recent trip. Resolved by using another *A Gold card. 4) *A partner airlines (e.g. SAS) changed my *A booking status to "basic member" which resulted in a loss of seat assignments and issues with baggage allowances (resolved by using another *A Gold card). 5) Never mind the delayed, incorrect, partial, and/or missing miles since 3/3. I can live with my mileage balance being off for a week or two, or , well, who knows. What worries me that pretty much many, many instances of data integration problem that can exist seems to have manifested themselves in this transition. That simply suggests a lack of IT competence; nothing new of course. Could have been worse, but definitley could have been better if UA would be a truly customer-centric company. |

Missing mileage for first and last flights - flew MLI - CDG on 2/28. ORD-CDG posted, but not MLI-ORD. Same happened on 3/8 when I returned - no credit for ORD-MLI. Tried to request mileage credit online, but get an error that I've received credit for the ticket number. No option to select the flts without credit. Will call the 1K line. Anyone else had this problem?
My flights on 3/11 and 14 posted in the last couple of days, but only the mainline ones. I was thinking that maybe UX flight credit is delayed or not processed at all. |

Said it would be fixed in the next week - probably running a bunch of batch jobs to correct so watch your accounts  Probably lots of fixes coming (hopefully it really fixes the issues). Only waited 1 minute for reservations agent, then transferred to MP, less than 2 minutes late. |
united Club 1k Card Requirement?
Flying on international itinerary from ORD, I was told at United Club (C) that I needed my Mileage Plus card in addition to the two boarding passes that showed my 1K status. ...?
Never have done this before on UA. Only places like SIN and FRA with Star Alliance lounges. |
