All UA A319s have have been converted to 12F configuration

FIRST CLASS CABIN
All A319s have the 'new' UA first class seat. There are 12 first class seats on the A319. Stated pitch is 37" and the width is 21”. The seat recline on the A319 is quite generous, with the caveat that if the person in front of you is fully reclined, it is difficult to get out of the aisle seat and exiting the window seat will require the aisle seat to step into the aisle.

ECONOMY PLUS Section – ROWS 7-21
Row 7 is the best row. Like on the A320, Row 7 has plenty of room plus the bulkhead does not extend all the way down to the floor, allowing you to store bags and your feet under Row 2.

21BC and 21DE do have an extra inch or two of legroom to allow folks to get to the Window Exit, but it is not nearly as generous as Row 20 and Row 21 on the A320.

Rows 8-12 have 35" of legroom and 18" width.

ECONOMY CLASS Section – ROWS 22-35
Pitch is very tight at (30"), but at least the seats are wider then the 757.

IN FLIGHT ENTERTAINMENT
Wifi: Ku band wifi is installed on all A319s. Ku band wifi is the international wifi which enables internet access for the rare A319 trip outside of the lower 48.
Entertainment: Personal device entertainment is installed on all A319s. Make sure you have the latest United app loaded on your phone/tablet.
In-Seat Power: Installed in F and E+.

Other
There is a galley and lav at the front of the plane for First-class cabin.
There is a galley and two lavs at the rear of the plane for the economy cabin.

Actually, I did sit in 1B, which had the advantage of being able to stretch out your right leg into the galley area which was huge in helping ease the feeling of claustrophobia. 1E (right side aisle) cannot do that by the way. So yes this is the best choice if you are a die hard Row 1 guy.

I always thought I was a die hard row 1 guys because I hate people reclining into my space. But for now, A319s are my only exception.
Anyone care to shed more light on the Row 1 seat pitch and cutout options on the 319?

I was booked in Row 2 for an August flight, and then SHARES booted me and Mrs. Transportprof to Row 1 A&B. All of Row 2 is now blocked on the seating chart, but all of Row 1 is open.

Which side is likely to have more legroom?

IME all 319s have the cutout on the AB side ( more B than A) and only some have it on the EF side. I have noticed no difference in depth when they both have the cutouts. I will always go for 1B over 1E.

1E/F on the 319/320 are the worst F seats in the fleet. Row 7 window/aisle are arguably preferable to those seats.

Worst? I thought that honor was with 1 E/F on the 752?

At 6'1", I wouldn't say those seats on the Airbii are that bad.

319 1E/F without the cutout yes -- many of the 320's have a cutout or modified bulkhead so not quite as bad.

319 1E/F without cutout are easily as bad as the sUA 752 non-PA 1E/F.

Thanks for the advice. I'll stick with 1 A/B for now, and only switch if seats in row 2 open up.

Is UA now adding a 3rd row of F on A319s or is this an outlier?
Neither Wiki nor seatguru mentions anything about a 3rd row.
Our DEN-CLE flight on Tuesday has three rows and we're in row 3. Should I be concerned that a 2 row plane will show up?

Even though both UA and EF say 319?

The map is a 320. And if you look at flight status, it shows the arriving aircraft is a 320.

Best guess is a swap is coming, but it could also just be an IT error.

Row 3 on a 320 always has risk of a downgrade.

Thanks Kacee. Looks like the 320 is a Tuesday thing at least this week.
Looking at flight status, it currently shows 320 operating RNO-DEN, DEN-CLE and then CLE-SFO.
But just in case, I moved us to row 1. Thanks.

Hope you got 1A/B. E/F can be really cramped.

Ugh. 1A and 1E. Hopefully 1B won't realize and will agree to swap.
