For your cabin crew point, I could say it depends on the flight.

Exactly! And I often found that the language barrier is holding the crews back. If you are interested and ask about eg Turkish food or say things like "that you" in Turkish it breaks the ice and almost all crew warm up then.
I once asked a crew member about Turkish tea and almost got a 5 minute lecture how it is made, how you drink it, etc
TK and QR are very similar in terms of their offerings, however I would say that with QR many things are just a little more shiny/polished/exclusive. But I think TK is doing a good job catching up, especially with the new J cabins, uniforms and airport.

Around 80 percent of crews I have had on TK flights are delightful in a fashion similar as described by SFOTraveler1984, about 10 percent average, and 10 percent a bit grumpy.
Sure, SQ perfection it might not be, but I rarely have any complaints at all about TK crews.

outbound to DPS it was essential as the departure is awful. My one request to TK would be to get the service routines really slick with beds made and lights out asap eX IST..
I loved my flights and looking again at TK for all sorts of routings.

Mine too! I do Jakarta 3 or 4 times a year. Even if i refuse the dinner, or opt for it served later, the two hour (plus) dinner performance make it difficult to settle down to sleep at 3 am.

As an update for the thread and the wiki above, F seats are finally unblocked on both the app and the website and I was able to move my wife and I into E and F for NRT-IST.
G seats are still not showing on the seat map though.
