The TK 787 offers 1-2-1 seating in J as follows (see post #1):
Odd rows: A (window) [aisle] E&F (honeymoon seats, console at the aisle) [aisle] K (window)
Even rows: A (window) [aisle] D&G (seats closer to aisle, console in between seats) [aisle] K (window)

Please note that as of August 11th, it is not possible to select seats on the TK website or in the TK app. Also, the hotline seems to look at an outdated seat map and does not see all seats.

Two points:
Qatar Airways offers dine on demand in business class. TK doesn't.
Qatar Airways flight attendants are mostly smiling while TK are mostly not.

TK does offer dine on demand. You could check the catering master thread WIKI to see which routes have the dine on demand service.

For your cabin crew point, I could say it depends on the flight.

Exactly! And I often found that the language barrier is holding the crews back. If you are interested and ask about eg Turkish food or say things like "that you" in Turkish it breaks the ice and almost all crew warm up then.
I once asked a crew member about Turkish tea and almost got a 5 minute lecture how it is made, how you drink it, etc

TK and QR are very similar in terms of their offerings, however I would say that with QR many things are just a little more shiny/polished/exclusive. But I think TK is doing a good job catching up, especially with the new J cabins, uniforms and airport.

On my DPS IST 787 flight it was not offered.
Food was very good however.

Only experienced that from Ex-IST flights and never from other destinations.

Looking at July 2020 and I see IST-MIA is showing 777-300ER. Is that an error? I'd like to fly the new J.

This is exactly also my experience.

Around 80 percent of crews I have had on TK flights are delightful in a fashion similar as described by SFOTraveler1984, about 10 percent average, and 10 percent a bit grumpy.

Sure, SQ perfection it might not be, but I rarely have any complaints at all about TK crews.

it was offered on mine to and from DPS. The timing of the DPS departure is very good and for me DoD was not necessary.
outbound to DPS it was essential as the departure is awful. My one request to TK would be to get the service routines really slick with beds made and lights out asap eX IST..

I loved my flights and looking again at TK for all sorts of routings.

Mine too! I do Jakarta 3 or 4 times a year. Even if i refuse the dinner, or opt for it served later, the two hour (plus) dinner performance make it difficult to settle down to sleep at 3 am.

As an update for the thread and the wiki above, F seats are finally unblocked on both the app and the website and I was able to move my wife and I into E and F for NRT-IST.

G seats are still not showing on the seat map though.

Amazing news, I even managed to snag 1 E and F for my wife and I on our IST-ATL flight just days away now. So much less stressed not to have to worry about this on my trip and to have the extra space.
