Seating:
The TK 787 offers 1-2-1 seating in J as follows (see post #1):
Odd rows: A (window) [aisle] E&F (honeymoon seats, console at the aisle) [aisle] K (window)
Even rows: A (window) [aisle] D&G (seats closer to aisle, console in between seats) [aisle] K (window)

Please note that as of August 11th, it is not possible to select seats on the TK website or in the TK app. Also, the hotline seems to look at an outdated seat map and does not see all seats.

Tukish 787 Seat Map??

Hi all, so I redeemed 3 J's on TK for next July but unable to select seats online. Someone suggested I call, which I did last night but the agents (yes, I called 4x & spoke w/different ones) seem to be reading/looking at a wrong seat map as they all say, of the 8 rows in J, odd # rows are 2 seats only (one on each side as window seats) & even rows are 4 seats! I'm as confused as heck as I'm sure TK's 787 configuration is 1-2-1. Has anyone else faced same results when calling agents over the phone? Any remedy around this (or I just have to wait until TK updates it's ability to select/change seats online for the 787: IST to KUL route, btw). Thanks!

This is a known issue and the hotline looks at a wrong seat map.
See wiki in the 787 thread : B787 Dreamliner

Thanks again for your help, SFOTraveler1984! So after reading the threat, its seems both online and TK's global hotline's agents don't have the update seat map yet and I would have to wait for them to be updated before I can select the odd rows. Oh well, I still have some time (11 months out).

Yeah, once you fly more often with TK, you get used to their fabulous IT :-)
The hotline should be able to reserve A,K, D&G seats though...

Yes, this will be our first time flying TK and we very much look forward to their J products (both 777 and 787 on our route) and their lounge in IST!

Good choice - TK's product in the air and in the lounge is very good! Enjoy!

Miami Flights -- Thursday, Starting 31 October

I'm booked on TK 787 early November on a Thursday. Looks like they start Miami 787 flights Thursday only on 31 October.

Thank you, I updated the wiki! Looks like only the flights on Thursdays will be operated by the 787...

Figures I am taking Delta from ATL back to Miami then a few weeks later they will actually be flying to Miami! All good though, just happy to have been able to book an award flight at all on a brand new product.

I also redeemed for J seats next summer on the 787. When I called to select seats, they had the wrong seat map and gave me 2D&E. When I checked on-line today, the seat selection option is greyed out but my seats have been corrected to 2D&G. It appears that they are manually fixing the seats.

I booked a flight to DPS for this Autumn and had 1K/2A assigned. I think I'll keep them

Glad they got it sorted around for you. There is no such seat as 2E from what I see so I guess that is why yours changed? I am still in 4 A & D as of today, where the phone agent assigned us.

That's really bad luck, but we could expect everything from TK. At least the 777-300ER has a good product as well.

For example a last-minute switch from an A330-300 with Wi-Fi and lie-flat seats to an A319 on a European high demand route, which happened to me.

Can anyone confirm whether the crew on this aircraft have kept all the window shades completely dark even when it was daylight outside? this is my greatest fear of flying this aircraft... Not being able to see outside.
