Jerry,
Do you have a scraper running even though you're not actively looking? I remember you went for your initial interview like a week before me at YYZ, so I can't see why you'd be looking for interviews so soon! Borrowed someone's python script and checking YYZ every 2 minutes Got 2 spots tomorrow (actually many opened up yesterday and today, but gone within 5 minutes usually) |
Does anyone know how long it takes after a violation occurring to find out what the consequences are? Meaning, if they didn't revoke my card while I was psychically at the border, am I good? Made the stupid decision of dropping my gf off to have her walk through at peace arch (we went to Vancouver for the day for her nexus interview..), and the CBP officer yelled at me and rolled his eyes, but didn't take my card away...
Will i be getting a letter in the mail or have a problem renewing in a few years? oops... |

If he didn't take your card away, I wouldn't worry about it. |

Don't forget that even if you do drop them off to take the NEXUS lane, if they have left any belongings in the car you are in violation there too.
The only logical reason I can think for not allowing this is the person walking across (the non-NEXUS member) would likely be carrying nothing on them, while the driver going through the NEXUS lane has everything, and therefore less likely to be questioned/searched. It's a restriction I'm willing to live with. |
Hey everyone! What does a Canadian get if they get into the Nexus program in terms of global entry. I read online they don't get into that program per-say, but receive benefits? What does that mean?

Full GE benefits, including TSA precheck, but no separate GE card

You get a Nexus Card like this, which you can use at land borders and for entry into Canada at airports (via Iris scan) - http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/travel-vo.../tdc-pvf_1.jpg You won't get a Global Entry "card" but you will get Global Entry privileges (via fingerprints) for front-of-the-line entry into the USA at airports. You also automatically get enrollment into TSA Pre✓ for airports and airlines that support it. You enter your Pass ID from your Nexus card into your flight record and you'll get Pre✓. |

Fingers crossed! ;) I'm interested to see your progress as I am also in Seattle. Submitted app 3/9/14 and paid the app fee. I wonder what the wait is for app approval and walk-in odds of getting an interview. |
