New Driver's License - how do I enter it on-line?

I just received my new driver's license?

I have figured out how to enter a new passport (when I get it in the future) on-line, but I can not figure out how to enter my driver's license information on-line (of course, I can always go to the YOW nexus office).

Of note, my GOES profile shows that there is no driver's license in the system - but I did have to show my driver's license (and passport of course), when I had my nexus interview.

I would wager the reason is that the IP network that connects it all together is provided by Bell who does not have a license to sling the cable across the border . . . and it would be a secure one so it's not like they could just hook up a DSL line.

Are you sure about that? I'm fairly sure I've seen corporations with private circuits between overseas offices. Bell may not provide both ends of the circuit, but I'm fairly sure carriers can interline connections, even across international borders.

They definitely can "interline" connections (it's typically called an MPLS circuit but I've seen it labeled other things) but there may be a security reason (or a financial one) why the Nexus backhaul network is no longer setup that way.

I am not sure that's the reason, but we do like our speculation here on flyertalk. I was just offering a possible explanation why they need to have the iris scanner on the other side of the Whirlpool bridge. It is entirely that - speculation.

Don't worry about it. If it's not in GOES then it does not need to be updated.

Did anyone figured out how to change to a foreign address with GOES? About to become an expats and trying to update the address on file, noticed the website only allow US/Canada address.

I also wonder if I will be able to renew Nexus while I am residing at a foreign country.

Any NEXUS users ever get their vehicles SENTRI-inspected? I know I'm a madman, but I'm going to be driving to San Diego in May and a day trip into Mexico is tempting. SENTRI would make the return trip across the border bearable...

IIRC, the program rules for SENTRI require it to be inspected by the SENTRI program specifically--in other words, the Mexicans won't accept a Canadian inspection.

Good luck getting a NEXUS office to inspect your car, too--I asked and they said they don't ever do that anymore as they don't care about that.

No, I realize they won't inspect my car in Canada but I could make an appointment at Otay Mesa, CA to get it inspected when I get to San Diego. Even if it takes me 2 hours in and out to do the appointment, it could save me 3-4 hours at the border net.

I am pretty sure the answer is that you can't. I live outside of Canada and was just told to use the address of a Canadian friend or relative as the system will not allow non-US or Canadian addresses.

Does anyone know how long it is now taking Nexus card to arrive by mail in the USA? They say 8-10 days, but many got the cards in 4-5 days.

I was approved on January 31, 2014 at the Buffalo/Fort Erie enrollment center. Online GOES account confirms approval.

Today is Feb 8, still waiting for the card to arrive in mail.

Anyone in the same boat? please give your card arrival timeline

I got my card in the mail after 5 days from getting the approval email.

Our experience (two separate accounts) was 5 elapsed days including weekend/holiday.
They are mailed from Vermont, so perhaps there are weather delays?

My children's applications were approved a week before me. They received the cards in 5 days. Those were mailed from Niagara Falls, New York. But mine is now over 9 days and counting

Does anyone know what number to call if I don't receive the card? Does anyone know Vermont's phone number.

Wait two weeks before calling. When I was approved in 2012, my card took the full two weeks. My parents cards arrived in 5 and 6 days.

My understanding is that although NEXUS is a joint Canada-US program, SENTRI is administered entirely by the US government and is not recognized by the Mexican government. As such, the Mexicans wouldn't care about who inspected the car.
