I just had Lens Replacement Surgery ; exact same surgery as cataracts, but used for vision correction.
I fly to the US next week. Global entry going in, but I will use Nexus coming back. Send me a PM a week from Saturday, and I'll let you know what I learned. |

I called the Ontario/US citizen number (for a problem relating to a typo on my NEXUS application) and was told to call a different number for "GOES support" (866-530-4172). I spoke with a polite gentleman with a very thick French accent, so I'm assuming this is CBSA GOES support and not US CBP GOES support. |
DL update now possible on GOES
When I first went for my interview in Aug. 2013 my Driver's License (DL) had changed (renewed) between the my original date of application and the interview date.
I confirmed the NEW expiration date during the interview, but later saw on GOES that the information had not been updated in their system. I later went back to my enrollment location (Toronto Pearson Airport - YYZ), and asked them to manually update the expiration date of my DL. It was completed, but I think it was only done by the Canadian agent. The info in GOES never changed. I've since crossed by land at least 6 times without incident, but it always concerned me, though I've not gone into an enrollment center to confirm the update on both US and CAN systems. Today, I logged into GOES and much to my surprise, in the "update documents" page, I see you can update your DL now! Just did it, and it's instantly reflected on the system. I suspect this is for the US side only, so you would probably still have to update with CAN agents, but this is a positive step in the right direction for self-service on these less critical ID management issues. |

A friend of mine is moving overseas for the next 5 years. He has nexus card and GE and he holds a CAN passport. What he should do in that situation?

Anyone who is a US/Canadian citizen currently living abroad applied successfully using GOES? It wont take my current Hong Kong address as it only accept US & Can addresses.

Perhaps someone should call GOES/NEXUS phone line to ask, and keep us updated? :P

Nexus machine at YYZ US pre-clearance?
Hey folks - my apology if this has been asked and answered .
I am looking for current and definitive information on if there are working Nexus machines in the US pre-clearance area at YYZ terminal 1. I am in Toronto right now and left my US passport at home. Luckily I have both my Nexus and Global Entry cards with me. I know for a fact there are GE machines in YYZ US pre-clearance area as I have used them many times before. I am hoping I can use Nexus there over the weekend to head back to US without a US passport. Otherwise I would need it fedexed over. Thanks in advance! @ORD |
Last time I went through - about a month ago - there were a couple of Nexus kiosks present. Whether they're working or not is a whole different matter...

Seems to me last time I went through (less than ten days ago), only Global Entry.
Which I had not used before, but I actually prefer to the finicky eye scan. Of course, passport needed. So I updated my wife's passport info with them. She is flying to the US through YYZ in ten days. |

Thanks in advance! @ORD Nexus card is not acceptable to cross the border with by air. If by land, you're ok. If flying, most certainly not. Airline might accept it. You might even get through customs ok. But definitely not within the rules of the program. Bottom line is if you get sent to secondary randomly and don't have it, and are asked for it, you're likely SOL and will have your trusted traveler status revoked. Like the previous poster said. If you're ok with that risk, I guess you can try it. Certainly not worth it to me. Just get it fedex'd over and save yourself potential trouble. On another note, just curious, how did you get in without your passport? |
