My Timeline:

Applied for renewal: 15-Nov-2021
Conditional Approval: 19-Nov-2021
Waiting for Interview availability until Sept 30, 2022, when Alexandria (Hill Island) inteview site finally reopened. Booked interview for December 5, 2022.
Approval received 22-Nov-2022, no interview required.
I haven't received the card yet, but looks like they are about 1-2 weeks after approval. Note that the renewal is back-dated to my original exipry date, so my renewed Nexus will expire Feb. 2027.

So, for me almost exactly 1 year from application to approval.

Update: Card arrived. So notice received on Nov 8 and card arrived on Nov 23.

I applied for my Nexus renewal in June 2021 and got the 'conditional approval' awaiting the interview.

On November 8, 2022, I received notification that my application had been approved. The notice indicated it came from the Winnipeg Enrollment Center (where my original application interview in 2016 took place).

I have not yet received the new membership card and am wondering how long others in this thread had to wait between approval and receipt? Thank you.

Update: Card arrived on Nov 23.

Seems pretty common on threads here. Mine went from needing an interview to approved really quickly but my wife had been waiting for about a year when she finally got an approved email last month w no interview. My kids however I’m not been so lucky and so we had to arrange a run up to the Blaine office in December.

The email from CBP a while back suggested updating passport and driver license data if it's out of date - that automated approvals wouldn't be considered with expired documents.

I went in and updated my driver license expiration date (since it had been renewed). Received my NEXUS card a few days ago.

So - make sure your documents are up to date in the system.

My DL wasn't expired, but I had a hell of a time updating my DL info when I moved states. When I tried updating it online several times, it didn't work. Then I went to the airport as a walk-in to get that and my employment info updated. My employment into was updated, but the DL info still didn't get updated even though they told me so. Then when renewal time came, I was still a PR and I entered the new DL info from my new state. Even after my renewal approval, it TTP still shows my old DL info and even has my green card info, which should've been deleted since I'm a citizen now and my citizen info is showing on my portal. What a mess. I'm surprised they allowed an automated approval despite all of that.

Edit: I also wanted to asked about this note on the TTP site: "You need your membership card in order to receive NEXUS benefits when entering Canada or the United States at any designated NEXUS air, land, or marine port of entry."
The last time I used the GE kiosk was last year, but have things changed since then? I thought only a US passport or one's face was necessary for a scan at a GE kiosk.

Yes, entering the US by air is the exception; you don't need your NEXUS card for GE kiosks. You'll still need it when using NEXUS kiosks to enter Canada by air, or when using NEXUS to enter either country at land or marine POEs.

I know all of that but the way it’s worded suggests that a card is needed to go through a U.S. kiosk by air. That’s why I asked.

I just received TTP Application Status Change email, and I found out my renewal was approved without interview again :)
The letter is from Vancouver Enrollment Centre.
The new NEXUS membership will expire in 5 years from my birthday next week, so I got the approval before it expires.

Applied for renewal: 12/10/2021
Conditional Approval: 1/9/2022
Interview scheduled at Blaine Enrollment Center: 4/26/2023

Approved (no interview required): 11/25/2022
Card received: 12/6/2022

2.5 years after applying, my gf just got her Nexus approved. Finally. We moved away from the border during the covid delay and since airport locations are closed, we had to wait until a day where we could do the 6hr drive without taking days off. Thankfully managed to snag a Black Friday appointment, which meant driving up on Thanksgiving and staying nearby, then an early morning appointment.

The things we do... :D

Insane. 30 months is the longest I've heard for waiting for conditional approval for Nexus. This program really needs a revamp in how they go through the approval process.

Conditional Approval doesn't take 30 months. The final approval after getting CA has been issue. (All Nexus centers were closed)

Applied for Renewal in April, just got approved without interview. Very relieved I don't need to drive 5hrs to the border again!

I applied for renewal at some point in the summer. Conditionally approved September 1st. Approved November 28th without an interview. I'm glad I can now cancel my trip to Detroit next month.
