Went in person today for my renewal. All I did was re-fingerprint and provide them with job change info since I had submitted my app. I think the agent was in training, there was another female agent overseeing him standing on the side and she looked like one mean <redacted by moderator>. I would not want to piss her off.

Various reasons that could have caused the in person interview requirement. In the past few years I have
* moved
* changed jobs
* visited several countries
* I also had an issue when trying to use my fingerprints one time coming back to the US - I think my passport number had an error

Anyway - good until mid 2025

I applied maybe 6 months before expiration (I was asleep at the renewal year), and was approved in 70 days.

+1 Applied at T-364 and now am at 147 and counting...

Wife was approved in a week, I went into Long Queue. I have more countries and travel so I thought that was the issue.

Spouse's renewal applied for on July 1, 2019 (had already expired in June).
Approved Nov 12, 2019 (no interview).
So 135 days.

I've been reading the thread (not all 126 pages, but a reasonable sample) and noticed that most data points are super speedy renewal approval or long queue, can I assume that because I didn't get the approval in a week or two, I'm in for the long haul wait? Sent renewal in 11/19; expires mid-May 2020

That seems to have been the pattern since at least early this year.

In case that you are unaware, since you applied to renew your Global Entry membership before it expired, you will continue to receive Global Entry benefits for up to a hear after the original expiration date pending the final approval of your renewal application.

Thanks! Saw that in the thread, it doesn’t stop the regulator in me for wanting it all done and formalized 😏

I think you mean ~150 days. Sorry, you don't take the crown :-)

My membership expired last september without me realizing it, so I had to re-apply post-expiration.

Renewal application date: july 3, 2019.

Currently awaiting conditional approval, putting me at 159 days so far!

I believe StanJ still wears the crown at 172 days, having beaten me by 2 days. Such is the life of royalty...

In related news, received my new card this past Saturday, so that's about a week post-approval.

Mine came on Friday, so just shy of one week for me.

Approved 174 days, no interview.

ABTC might skip interview, GE also had the ABTC photo on it, the old photo from old GE card was replaced.
