I also applied on Feb 11, and my app is still pending. My previous apps got approved within 1 day. This really sucks - not sure what they are doing.

Applied 1/24, approved 4/3.

As a DP for those wondering, I didn't get an email notification of my approval. Might be best to check on the status every few days or so.

Mine is still Pending Approval. I know it doesn't really matter since mine wasn't set to expire til May and with the 6 month grace period I will be just fine, but I would really like to take it off my TODO list. Hoping it comes through one of these days.

Mine finally came through (no email). Neither of us needed to reinterview.

Applied for renewal 3/25 and got approval 4/4, no interview. No email notification just checked the website.

Anecdata from my family - I knew ours expired in 2019 but I wasn't paying attention - turns out they expire in April. So March 16, husband and I submitted renewal applications (first renewals). He received an email today that his was approved so I logged in and mine has been approved as well.

1. Timeline - 2 weeks
2. One person got email, other did not
3. Neither of us required to have interview

To close out our experience, the new cards arrived today (4/5) - both of us.

Are cards automatically sent?

Applied 3/17, approved 3/28.

Are new cards sent or does one have to ask for a replacement?
If no new cards, do I need to activate? I assume no activation if no new card.

A new card should be received in two weeks or less after final approval. After receipt, you need to activate it.

I wonder if it takes longer for 2nd time renewal. I'm in the same boat.

Welcome to FT. Do not expect anything from anyone.:) Next time, mark your calendar to renew 364 days before expiration date.

Does your GE expire on 19 Jan 2021 or 2020? You can renew as early as 364 days from expiration date.

Oh that you can count on, thanks 1K!

Heading into week 10 (end of January ) since I renewed after it GE expired , still no change in my application status when I looked late Friday.

With a family trip in early May, is there anyway of getting my renewal expedited? The kids submitted as new GE and one case, interviewed and received their card.

I know, I know.. I have to at least ask.

Hold the Bus! I just checked and they approved me yesterday, YES, on a Saturday!

No need for an interview.

I will be putting a reminder on calendar to renew just after the year prior to expiration starts.

Thank you all for your feedback, good luck to anyone still waiting for renewal!

As long as you have applied and paid for your renewal before expiration, you can still use your Global Entry up to six months from current expiration date.

I know travelfromMichigan's application has been approved, but for the benefit of other readers asking this frequently asked question, here's the official answer, from the FAQ at https://ttp.cbp.dhs.gov/faq?lang=en:

...
There is no expedited process for applications. If you submitted a renewal application before expiration of your current membership, then you can continue to use your benefits until the renewal is finalized (up to 6 months after your expiration date).

Just an informational update and a question.

Update: After applying for renewal in late JAN, I finally got Conditionally Approved APR 8. Unfortunately, since it was conditional, I have to interview, even though this is my first renewal.

Question: Does my 6mo "grace period" for PreCheck still apply now that I'm Conditionally Approved and waiting for my interview? I have a work trip to BOS coming up in early May, there were no SFO appointment slots before that trip, so I selected a slot in BOS on my departure date. I'm wondering if PreCheck will work for my trip though.

Thanks!
