Also applied t-364 so probably wasn't a priority for them

Dec. 6th: Applied for renewal
Dec. 10th: Approved

First renewal. No interview required.

mearagirl Dec 11, 2019 10:38 am

Applied on June 26th. Still waiting. ("Expired" end of August) So ridiculous!

Applied July 13. Waiting.
Frustrated. Just ridiculous.

I applied on June 25th. Still waiting. My Global Entry on-line account still says "pending" and has said this shortly after I applied. I checked my account early on to see if my application went through the system.

There seems to lack any consistency in approvals. Some here have reported receiving approval in just a few days while we are approaching six months since renewal application.

It is, indeed, puzzling why!

I applied July 8, expired Sept and I am still awaiting Conditional approval. I moved since original application and approval and I was wondering if that has had something to do with the delay. Thank you to Travel Sisters for posting the information that included a link to this forum and thank you to all contributors for relating your experiences. It has been reassuring that perhaps my application still has legs.

I have moved to a different state also.

  • Applied for Global Entry Renewal June 2019 (Before Expiry)
  • Could still use TSA-PRE & Global Kiosk wile application was "Processing"
  • Got Notified in Dec 2019 APPROVED - No Interview Required
  • Live in Bay Area / CA

mctaste, I have not moved to another state or even another address, since I originally applied! And while I've been more places than most Americans, it's probably average 2-3 countries a year, nothing extreme, and probably less than most Global Entry folks (I mainly got it for the Precheck, back when I was traveling domestically every week).

I wonder about this -- and it would be an interesting statistic (wonder if it would be FoIA-able...) -- I'm in the same camp as you, an average of 2-4 countries a year but (with the exception of Canada) they're usually different countries.

I get the sense (maybe wrongly) that most frequent international travelers with GE are going to the same places -- e.g. visiting headquarters/a branch office/a manufacturing plant in London/Tokyo/Beijing/whatever every month, going to the 2nd home in France every fortnight, etc. vs. Mongolia and Japan this year, Dubai and Ireland last year, Sydney and Bermuda the year before, etc.

Well, you're around day 170, the new record is day 174, so let us know when it happens, the Crown of Waiting may yet be yours!

Renewal submitted on June 3 and still Pending Review. Any suggestions? I've contacted CBP but all the emails / form submissions just get kicked back saying wait times are long, etc.

Well, you have now inherited the Crown of Waiting. 195 days is longest wait by 20 days!

The good news is that at 6 months plus, you are entitled to call CBP and see what the holdup is. You can find the phone number and prompts somewhere up in this thread - so do a search and scroll up, it's here somewhere.
The bad news is that it's gotten nearly impossible to get through. Calls get disconnected or you get a message that says in essence "We're too busy to help you right now call back later" and then it disconnects. I would suggest devoting a mid-week morning - Tuesday or Wednesday, and just keep dialing over and over til you get through. I got through to a human once, and they were very helpful and polite.
The neutral news is that you will have GE benefits for up to a year past your expiration date, whenever that is.
The worst news is that if you end up having to re-interview, that process is now also FUBAR, and you'll have to do Entry on Arrival when you come into the US off an international flight. There's another whole thread on that issue adjacent to this one called Entry on Arrival.

Still waiting for any change in status -- still says "wait for interview"

Finally received approval on December 8, submitted application 13 April = 239 days!
I think I know the main issue -- I asked for APEC card and they denied it. That must have taken a LONG time!
