You trip when you try to step off a moving walkway..... that's NOT moving.

you just deal with unpleasant situations rather than starting a "What Should I Do?" thread

When shipping work related things, not knowing which address to put because you don't know at which hotel you will be next week.

The moment you realise...you travel too much

I just had mine, when I booked an itinerary for myself and my family to go via Amsterdam (BHX-AMS-TPE-MNL) so we can buy...

...Cheese.

By the slab. In the Airport. To avoid adding it to our check-in luggage.

Oh dear.

What are your "oh dear" realisations?

With my wife (along for the ride) and a colleague on business and all - and I mean ALL - Delta staff at my local airport saying hello Mr Gralistair - good to see you. I think it impressed my wife and young female colleague.

I know the work schedules of several of my favorite bartenders and alter my itinerary based on that info.

I had a TSA agent at PHX say "Oh, you again!". PHX is not even my home airport.

about three years into the relationship with my then-girlfriend, I started going SEA-BWI on a ~weekly basis; after about two months of this, I was very much looking forward to a "light" week (Wed afternoon to LAX, Thurs morning meeting at Edwards AFB, home Thurs night) ... on Wed morning my boss told me that I was expected at a test planning meeting in Baltimore -- starting at 1000 Fri

this was in 1984: F at night was the same as Y during the day
me: "ok, but it has to be First Class on the redeye, hotel in Baltimore on Fri night, and overtime for Saturday"
boss: (wink) "you know you can't get overtime for travel"

got off the jet, went to the hotel to shower and change, went to the meeting ... and it wrapped up around 1400 instead of the expected 1730

got back to the hotel to find the room had been made up ... having been a regular there over the past six weeks, I went to the front desk and asked "Would it really mess things up if I didn't actually stay tonight?"; as soon as the clerk said "Of course not!" I called UA to switch my Sat morning ticket to the 1625 flight, and called home ... "I'll be at the airport at 930 tonight!"

without missing a beat my girlfriend replied, "Which airport? All you do is work, fly, and sleep!" and hung up

last Nov we celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary

I don't travel near as much as most here but when my "normal" friends hear I fly to Chicago every four weeks, for the day, to get my haircut. Or to meet up for a FlyerTalk DO. They think I need an intervention. When I explain I am a lightweight in this group. They don't believe me. I only fly twice a month but to most sane people.
