Well this weekend visited the Everglades. Saw an alligator in the wild. Dinner in an open-sided restaurant - (reminds me of all the airports in Hawaii) and two new airports. RSW and PBI. All the top 50 US travelled through. 16 to go out of the top 100 US airports. Will post a photo or two

As an aside (Delta related) did my first SDC.

Only 45 for me this year ...

No work travel...

Best year was 49 in 2008, wanted to hit 50 on all continents, but damn full time work this year cut down travel.

Please tell me you are still on this quest.

I knocked out OGG and GUM this week and have 27 to go of which all are in the continental US.

Odd thing if I look at the Top 100 World Airports, I have flown into 28 of them as well. Planning on 31 by the end of the year.
Wow, I am surprised that I have been to 72/100, with only one out of the top 25 missed (HND). In fact, several of the ones I haven't visited are the secondary/teritary airports in major cities -- HND*, GMP, SHA, LGW, STN, DME*, CGH. (*These are actually the primary airports in their metro areas according to this list, though probably not for long-haul traffic.)

Amazing that HND is so high; also surprised to see AYT and PMI so high; high-volume leisure traffic I guess.

Have two more of the 28 missing ones booked so far.

Absolutely - I plan to do Wichita and Branson in the very near future. I also need 4 New York Airports which I need to reduce. They are Long Island/Islip; Buffalo; Syracuse and Rochester. Orlando Sanford will not be an easy one.

I crossed DAL Dallas Love Field off the list in January. At present I'm at 95 out of 100, still trying to figure out how best to do GUM and Branson, MO.

On a side note, I have slept in 58 of those airports.

GRALISTAIR, Allegiant provides very affordable service into or out of Orlando-Sanford from a wide variety of destinations. Check out their web site and you're bound to find something that should blend in well with your other travels. You could always rent a car while in Florida and drop it off at Sanford. I did that last year, picking up in Tampa and droping off at SFB with little or no extra charge.

It would need 1 week vacation but figured I could do something like MCI-SEA-ANC (then do Deadhorse and Barrow. Then do the AS ANC-HNL rest for a day and do some inter-islands then take the UA "milk run" flight stopping at the 5 Marshall Islands into GUM. Then return by a less circuituos route! That was my plane - I think it will be my last airport though.
