In the middle of this as I am writing. Currently in SJC. So two new airports so far this weekend -SAN last night and SJC this morning. 27 left to do of the top 100 US airports. Southwest is cool for this.

All done - 6 new airports, 10 new routings, and down to 23 airports in the USA of the top 100 (according to Wikipedia). All the top 30 and top 40 done. Just PBI and RSW to get the top 50.

This was in the mid 1980s. My father was the customs officer there, for inbound military aircraft from the USA and Canada.

This is my kind of thread. I have a quest to visit as many airports as possible (currently at 120) but never thought to hit top 100 in the US. I am at 64/100 and plan on getting STL, DAL and MCI in my next trip.

Quick update - Wed July 11th doing MAN-ATL-IND - all done many times but July 12th am doing IND-SLC-HNL-LIH. Then 13th LIH/OGG/ITO/KOA. Then on overnight HNL-ANC and have the ANC-OTZ-OME and return than redeye ANC-SEA-DTW-IND do will get 4 new HI airports, 2 new AS airports (3 out of the top 100) ,go north of the arctic circle, in the tropics and 12 hours of time zone within a 5 day period.

Solid at the top of the list, but falling out when it comes to the lower ranked outliers (but could add several among the "didn't make the Top 100" list), I'm stuck on 66 and unlikely to fill in many holes now that I'm almost 73. Are airports like golf? Do you get a trophy for "shooting your age"?
