I too am getting a QuickBooks installation every time I run it, that I have to hit cancel a few times. I already uninstalled, but no luck. I guess I'll have to break down and actually read the help file! Oh, the horror.

Just renewed the Plat for another 5 months. Well worth the money.

I actually would like to get travel agent like access to make and manage my own bookings as well. Any ideas?

Would the KVS tool display full rules on every AC fare type on every given route, as the travelocity web site used to do in the past?

For that, you would first need to become an accredited travel agent, which is an expensive and involved process ...

Yes (subject to the AC-imposed limitations regarding the Tango fares).

I am currently working to be a travel agent with an agency here in Toronto. I get free Sabre access and can create reservations but all ticketing is done through the agency. Commision is split 50-50 and I don't pay any fees unless I miss my quota (which is very low.) I was told that quite a few agencies offer this because it costs them very little and brings in more business - so you might be able to find one in your area.

Cheers!

Challenges KVS on Vista & IE7?

Having some challenges w/ 2.8.1 on Vista w/ IE7. Basically, the program will check availability just fine....but if I click on a flight (from the availability query output) or drill down on any other tabs after checking availability, I receive a Windows error that states "KVS Availability Tool has stopped working".

Anyone else had issues on Vista/IE7? KVS?

There have been no other reports of compatibility issues with Vista.

First, try re-installing the Tool, making sure that the [Install/Update System Files] option is on.

Then, try "to turn off DEP for an individual program", using the instructions at http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Win...361611033.mspx

If the problem still persists:
1. Click Start, click Run, type eventvwr.msc, and then click OK.
2. Goto the Applications section and locate the entry for KVS Tool.
3. Copy all the error details and e-mail that info to me.

When I launch KVS with the shortcut, this pops up instead:

Easy CD creator 5 Basic

Please wait while Windows configures Easy Cd Creator 5

After a minute or so another window pops up:

Easy CD Creator 5
The feature you are trying to use is on a CD rom that is not available. Please insert & try again.

If I click “cancel” 4 or 5 times, more screens for the CD creator pop up, but eventually KVS appears and all is well.

Exact same thing happens to me.

No issues here with Vista (Ultimate) and IE7, but I don't have Easy CD Creator either.

Pls see the KVS Tool FAQ under "I am being prompted to complete installation for ____________ (some completely irrelevant software title), when trying to run the Tool."

I have no idea why, but I have *never* been able to get KVS to show me a seatmap for flights I use....such as 9w, LH, SQ (who do not publish Economy seatmaps, but we *should* see J/F seatmaps!) and other carriers...

I can see SQ C/F seatmaps using the Galileo or Worldspan text methods.
