Does early renewal add on to current membership or does renewal restart from zero from the date of renewal therefore losing the "gap"?

Indeed, all Renewals and Upgrades add to the end of any existing membership term, so you can renew at your convenience and as early as you wish.

Automating the opening & running of KVSTool

Has anyone managed to come up with a method on Windows to automate the startup of KVSTool and initiate the search argument that's been defined.

I'm searching for an award booking that I know will shortly be available and I'd like to run KVSTool on a scheduled basis to check this availability.

It is easy to make KVS open on startup, just put a link in the Startup folder.

I don't think you can set it up to run a saved search on startup though, so you would need to use a macro tool to do it.

WN availability

WN (Southwest) is listed as being supported in the FAQ. However I only see a line like
[KVS Availability Tool 7.2.3/Diamond - Availability/FS/US]

Shouldn't it show availability? I have tried availabilty/FS and ETR.

WN does not provide its Availability to Reservation Systems, only Schedules.

Please help me with UA Upgrade Codes

As a frequent flyer and a KVS Diamond member, I feel sheepish in saying that I don't quite understand the UA upgrade codes. Specifically, under Star Alliance / Awards-Upgrades/UA, can someone explain ON, RN, and PN for me?

Secondarily, for RPU/GPU usage, is R the only upgrade code that I should care?

Thanks

Not to worry -- very few people do :).

As far as R, that is NOT correct if you are trying to use a GPU to go from paid C to F. In that case it is ON

newbie

I just installed and registered KVS. Been reading the how to docs.

But still not sure which method should I use if... say... I am a Asia Miles member.
And want to redeem an QF award flight (economy/business) CGK-AKL sometime mid October (~ 15th of Oct) . The date is flexible, as long as I can get the seat.

Star Alliance Search Error on KVS

I'm getting the following error after repeated attempts to use the Star Alliance (ANA search) search tool on KVS

http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/membe...ul-30-2013.jpg

Is there some sort of connection issue? Thanks for looking into the error.

The [Awards/StarAlliance] Method continues to function normally.

If the issue persists, please provide a screenshot via http://Contact.KVSTool.com/

KVS Tool Mobile Companion

I'm thinking it is time for more functionality out of the KVS Mobile Companion. I'm loving the Availability, Timetable, Flight Info and Seat Map capabilities but I'd love the ability for award searches. Is this feature or any other coming to the mobile companion?
