It's a quirk of the [FS] Engine -- it does not natively support (Any Time) requests, so queries without departure time may not always work.

We will be adjusting the error message in the next KVS Tool update to help avoid confusion.

Equipment identification
 

For UA, in the KVS tool is there a way to identify specific equipment, such as registration number, aircraft number, or UA code (i.e. 77Q) used for a specific flight? If not, any suggestions where else I might find that? Thank you!

No way on KVS except trying to match up the seat plan to something like SeatGuru.

mobile.united.com will allow you to get the registration number, seat maps, and the type of seating, which will generally get you the info you need to determine which version of an aircraft is flying. It only allows you to select flights a few days in the future, but you can manipulate to browser address to access flights further out in some cases

If you double-click a flight in the KVS Tool and expand the Aircraft Info menu, there will be a Aircraft Registration look-up link.

Otherwise, as jasonvr had already mentioned, you can always match-up the cabin layout by retrieving Seat Maps for a particular flight.

Graphical Seatmap error?
 

I was trying to display the graphical seatmap on today's UA895 and was sent to a DL webpage:

Maybe just bad luck on my part, it failed every time I tried it. Tried on 4 or 5 different flights and types of aircraft.

On another topic ...

You were talking about using the mobile.united.com to get the registration number in the future by playing with the date in the url??). If all you want is the aircraft type, there is a weekly aircraft type download for wide bodies on unitedcargo.com. Admittedly for 772, there is the constant possibility of an aircraft swap, but at least it shows you where the IPTE 772 are supposed to be flying.

It still works, however be sure not to manually click the redirect link when it appears in your browser (you also cannot use a link if you copy-and-paste it).

I see, it works.

Under IE default security (Internet Zone), you have to allow blocked content.

award tickets for Korean Air

I am not user of KVS tool, but before buying licence, I would like to know if there is possible to find awards tickets for Korean Air flights, concretely between Seoul and Honolulu and Seoul and Europe.

KVS can correct me, but I believe you cannot. It's probably the only major award travel opportunity that cannot be checked online.
