Paid for diamond membership over 2 hours ago, got two e-mails (but no registration code) ... how long do I wait for the e-mail with a registration code?

Welcome to the KVS Tool!

The Temporary Registration Code is issued automatically. If you haven't received the 3rd e-mail, please check your Junk/Spam folder and/or provide an alternative e-mail address via the Contact Form.

Problem with new EY feature

@KVS:

It's great that you've added EY awards and upgrades, but it doesn't seem to be working. I've tried various searches and keep getting the same error:

(Engine Error) Date Out-of-Range/Invalid Route/Cookies Error.

FYI, I've searched everything from tomorrow to 30 days out to 6 months, so it's not the date. The route is LHR/AUH, which should be fine. I don't know what the Cookies issue would be, but I restared the tool several times and still get the same error.

Let me know if you find out what the issue is. Thanks!

Strange...I've enabled the MSIE cookies exactly as you did above and even restarted my computer for good measure (although I know that's not necessary), but I still get the same error.

Maximum Permitted Mileage [MPM]

I just recently purchased the diamond version and trying to figure out how to see the maximum mileage for the routing of NYC-PVG on AA.

I read the link of:
http://www.kvstool.com/Planning-A-Trip.php?Source=HOME

and it shows towards the bottom

ROUTING MPM MPM TRVL PERMITTED
(nothing shows here) am I doing something wrong?

Do I have to figure out the maximum mileage and choose the routing or can KVS show them to you?

ROUTING MPM MPM TRVL PERMITTED

AFAIK, in this context there are two types of fare:
- Fares where you have to use a specific routing, as specified in the Routing Rules (eg: LAX-AA/IB-SJU/NYC/MIA/BOS/CHI/WAS-IB-MAD/BCN-IB-MAD/BCN-BA/IB-LON* in your first example above)
- Fares where you use any routing that is within the MPM (and subject to certain other rules). This is what "MPM TRVL PERMITTED" is referring to in your second example, and the 8848 is the MPM.

So, in your case, you can choose your desired routing for NYC-SHA, and then use the KVS TPM calculator (under 'Reference') to find the mileage for that route, and check it is less than the MPM. You also need to check the fare rules in case there are any specific restrictions.

See Q44 in the FAQ and http://www.kvstool.com/FAQ.php?Source=HOME#MPM for further explanations.

So is there an option if I would type in NYC-PVG and KVS can come up with the maximum mileage routing for you?

Sorry, I think you need to come up with a possible routing, and then use KVS to calculate the TPM, and see if this is within the MPM. I don't think KVS can automatically generate a routing for you that gets as close as possible to the MPM.

Assuming you are running the latest KVS Tool version, it would definitely be something on your local machine (e.g. personal firewall or anti-virus software) that is blocking the Cookies and preventing the EY Engine from functioning correctly...

As KQ321 had already mentioned above, this is an MPM-based Fare, so it has no fixed routing(s).

We have now updated the Trip Planning Guide to further clarify the differences between the MPM- and Routing-Based Fares: http://www.KVSTool.com/Planning-A-Trip.php#Using

Are you doing something different with the EY engine than all other engines? All the other methods work fine.

Have you tried clearing MSIE Cookies (and restarting the KVS Tool)?
Does the issue occur on your other machine as well?

I have. For the record, I also have Chrome and Firefox installed (Firefox is the default) and I cleared both of those as well, since I though you might be using the "default" browser rather than explicitly MSIE.

I still get the same error.

I only have the one computer (a laptop that goes everywhere I go).

Does the EY tool require a particular program's signon? I wasn't asked for one.
