I'm thinking about getting KVS.
Are there any airlines that have restricted access or just simply never show up on KVS? I'll be doing a lot of BOS-ATH searching, using multiple via points to get there. Thanks! Please see also http://Help.KVSTool.com/#Classes for a partial list of 500+ supported airlines. |

I'm afraid there are still gremlins in the system. While fares show up, if I ask for fare rules I get Error retrieving fare rules: "Error".

-So, when joining and paying for Diamond bundle, I get 14 months. Correct? Thanx
-Also, what option would you recommend for my Mac to run? I am 95% interested in using *A (LH and LX) tickets and class availability (most miles generating classes in Y and C) and occasional upgrade. Thank you )) upd: ah, just saw that it's 12mo |

Otherwise, you can use any of the Mac options listed at http://Help.KVSTool.com/#Mac |
Using KVS and searching MUC-YUL on 8/31. LH 474 shows two biz class awards, but when I call United, they don't find it (tried 3 agents). I'm using AC award method.

Looks like an issue with the [Awards/AC-StarAlliance] Engine. Unfortunately, there are no C Award Seats available on that flight: [KVS Availability Tool 7.3.3/Diamond - Awards/StarAlliance/JP-ANA-SP1] Code:

@KVS
is there any plan to get back [Fares/FS]? Thanks. |

Happy to use Fares/PSH again and to find some "nuggets" with AF (in first, of course ;))

Is there anyway to use the Star Alliance M&M method with a temporary account only (no miles)?

Issues pulling up KE Award
Trying to check availability on ICN-CMB (one of the segments for the trip).
Tried using the Skyteam-DL method and it said origin and destination not supported - fair enough as I know the DL site can't pull it up Used the Flying Blue way and it keeps saying Engine Error/Date out of Range. I picked a date 3 months out and I know KE operates that route on that date. Any ideas?

No, the [Awards/M&M] Engine requires a permanent M&M card number.

Any idea why BA short haul flights nearly always report all aisle seats as unavailable on KVS? Even though I can check on BA.com for a flight I've booked (or a dummy booking) and they're mostly free?
|
KVS - maybe I've missed this along the way, but I can't go through 413 pages of replies!...
When searching for rewards under the OW/BA system, I can see exactly how many seats there are in whatever booking class. Great. Under the *A system, I can only see that there are at least 4 seats available, but if I need 6, for example, I use the mobile companion, which shows I class inventory. Why can't we (or maybe how can we) see the reward inventory on the desktop version? |

You can use the [Awards/AC-StarAlliance] Method to search for up to 8 seats.
(Probably would have figured that out eventually, but glad to be told!) |
I've been experimenting with looking up some fares listed on these forums using KVS and ITA Matrix. I'm confused about this:
1. I do a return fare lookup in KVS using Fares/PSH between IAH and KHI on Apr 16. The fare shows as $192 CAD. 2. I do a search on ITA Matrix using the fare basis code beside a carrier of interest (EK using Fare Basis Code LLXIPUS1). 3. I select a flight on ITA Matrix. I see that the fare basis code matches exactly the one in KVS tool, but the fare is more than double what's listed in KVS ($404.50 USD). What gives? |

Ah, I see. I'm still a bit confused, though. Shouldn't something like that surcharge show up under taxes and fees when the flight shows in ITA Matrix? The price difference shows directly on the base fare, which seems strange to me.

Yx-type surcharges are shown separately under Fees/Taxes. |
That clears things up, thanks!

I purchased KVS because I thought it would help me with booking *A awards on a trip to Europe and MLE, but I'm running in to a few problems...
A few days ago, UA's site showed Business Saver availability for 2 seats on Sep 24 from MLE to IST (TK 731, departing 23:40). Today it doesn't show up. However, KVS does show "CS" availability. I looked on UA's site again right after, and again it shows as "not available" for Business Saver. Which tool is right? I'm using the "Awards/StarAlliance" search method |

Registration code
I think I may closed some windows to quickly! I just signed up at the diamond level and haven't received a registration code. I think I saw window addressing this but instead of making it bigger I closed it. Any suggestions.
Thanks |

You have done everything correctly and should have received a Temporary Registration Code at the time of sign-up. If not, please be sure to check your Spam/Junk e-mail folder. |

This is something that is handled by our online payments provider and they are based in California.
For further details, please contact us via http://Contact.KVSTool.com/ It doesn't matter where the online payments provider is located. In California, only goods are taxed, not services. The KVS Tool is a service and should not be taxed to California residents. |
AA.com shows availability, KVS does not
I ran a test search using Awards/OneWorld and Awards/BA-OneWorld.
It was: ZRH->JFK, 14 JUL 2014. No filter Everything else default. In both queries, AA.com shows availability (BA719,BA179; BA719, BA189) for 4+ passengers. In KVS it says "No Award Availability / Route Too Complex" when I try Awards/BA-OneWorld. When I try Awards/OneWorld I get (BA715, BA187). This doesn't show up at all on AA.com Can anyone help reconcile the differences? |
