Seat Maps: we're currently not able to show seat maps for flights departing within the next 24 hours for several airlines: DL, BA, QR , ANA, B6, & JL
Searches currently not working:
- Upgrades - AY, BA, EK, EY, IB, QR, VS
- Awards - AY, BA, IB, EY, QR, VS
To search AA upgrades:
- Use the Award & Upgrade tool
- Only search for individual segments (set the "Connection Preference" drop-down to "Direct/Non-Stop only"). Flight results that are part of a connection won't show the upgrade version of C or A inventory because AA only files upgrade inventory as individual, not married, segments. (Married segments show revenue inventory instead of upgrade inventory.)
- To avoid confusion, check the "Exclude Codeshares" box, as AA awards and upgrades are not valid on codeshares.

EFV: Thank you for the workaround. Please be aware, if you are not already, when searching exclusively DL, it ignores the toggles for "Exclude Codeshares" and "Direct/non-stop only". The search results give all possible flights including connections and codeshares regardless of these settings. An example is JFK-CDG on a June date specifying Airline = DL only, exclude codeshares and direct/n/s.

We are getting reports of some AA alerts firing with no actual availability. Our team is aware and looking into it. Will report back with a detailed update once we know more.
Update: This is now fixed.

Hi,
Searches that specify a connecting airport are no longer working for me - I get a message "no results found"
However, the flights exist, and can be found if I remove the connecting airport specification.
Thanks,
Bill
ETA: I emailed ExpertFlyer and they fixed the problem.

It seems that the "View Booking Class" feature under the "Fare Information" Tab has been down for a while and says "This feature is temporarily unavailable while we make some improvements."
Any ETA when this will become available again? I find it quite useful.

I'm very disappointed that we're back to getting useless aircraft change alerts when there has been no change to aircraft type. I understand how it works with European carriers constantly flexing their J/C and Y cabins and that others see value in it that I don't, and I'd still like this to be an option so they can get what they want while I don't get constantly bothered by totally pointless alerts, but the last couple of days I'm also getting no-change change alerts for flights on WS 789s, for which there's definitely only one layout and nothing at all to flex.

Have to add my voice to the constant daily aircraft change alerts when absolutely nothing has changed.
Flight in question is VS46 JFK-LHR 12 June 26
Swapped from the booked 339 to 351 in the first half of December.
I was then getting daily aircraft change updates until I stopped reactivating alerts. Reactivated alert a couple of days ago and got yet another 'non' alert.
Yes, Virgin does have two configs for 351's but LHR are always the higher J types. I did check the seating plan just to make sure each time.
Very dissapointed with the constant issues flagged up with the 'new' version of EF. Seems that we, as paying users, are paying for the 'privilege' of being beta testers!
About time EF got this sorted, and a gesture of goodwill for several months of sub-par performance would go some way to compensating for the annoyance.
Seriously considering whether to renew my annual subscription in June after several years subscribing.

Same. It looks like for aircraft change alerts the "resubmit alert" button is not saving the new state of the aircraft, but rather resubmitting with the original layout, which of course will trigger the alert again the very next day.
Recreating the alert from the seat map fixes this, but it's a hassle for the user.

Regarding the aircraft change alerts: same here.
I'm constantly getting alerts of an aircraft change from CR9 to CRJ-900 and then back.
It almost seems as if Expertflyer is getting data for Lufthansa from two different sources and both seem to be using a different aircraft description.

To EF, Ive been receiving some valid schedule change alerts recently but Ive noticed the alerts dont stick in my account and I have to go through the rather frustrating process of setting them up again for the same flights. This is a pretty basic fix isnt it, unless youre seriously expecting us to believe that there will be no further schedule changes for these flights, the earliest of which is 3 months away?

Hi all,
Our team is looking into the aircraft change alert issue now. We've already found something that was causing the updated values or configurations not to be saved in the alerts once re-submitted. We are expecting to have a fix ready before EOW.
Qatar Seat Map Update: We have now restored access to QR seat maps within 24 hours of departure.

We seem to have the old and rather odd problem back of not being able to see seats 12 months ahead but instead of being restricted to an 11 month window, it has now reduced to 10, potentially. I say potentially as we won’t know until February if the window is even shorter.
For example, 2784 LGW-LCA 18 Dec 2026 wouldn’t show seats in Dec 2025 although unusually, the aircraft change could be set and usually, the two go hand in hand.
No problem I thought, I’ll simply wait until January and I’ll be able to take a look then. Erm, no.
Ok, maybe it’s a Gatwick EuroFlyer thing so I’ll try the 660 LHR-LCA on the same day just to check… nope, that doesn’t work either but again, aircraft changes do work.
If I look at November 2026, it’s all systems go.
I get the impression something else that has been fixed has affected this functionality which is what usually happens…
It would be great to have everything firing on all cylinders.
