Hopefully this isn't more than a temp system glitch, although it's highly usual that EF support has been pretty silent on details and unable to provide any estimated time for a fix.

I keep my fingers crossed that the issue will be solved sooner rather than later and of course it is of a technical rather than a financial nature.

I suspect the GDS that was feeding EF got cut off. For what reason who knows? It's been down over 36 hours now and I have flights coming up in a couple of days where I will really need the service. Not to mention the 9 segment international trip I have already booked in August that can easily go pear shaped. Truly hope it's just temporary as well.

I've messaged Red Ventures, the folks that bought EF, to see if they can shed any light on when we can expect a return of service. Not expecting so, but still worth a shot.
(...of *course* it goes down now, just as I get clearance to book travel for the rest of the year! LOL)

Will report back when/if I get a response.

Are there any alternatives to flight search showing the buckets?

Currently in the middle of a 17 segment trip (21 days) and just misconnected. Couldn’t have happened at a worse time.
Hope it’s up and running when you go on your trip.

I've not seen any other reports ot GDS or other similar travel data provider outages anywhere else in the news. Pure speculation, of course, but it doesn't exactly bode well for this being an issue with the data providers so much as an issue with ExpertFlyer's account with said data providers.

Indeed. This could be a massive balls-up in ExpertFlyer's systems - but I struggle to see how the problem would be taking this long to resolve. It also could be related to a change in how the GDS data are made available to them, for example requiring the use of a different method to run queries due to the removal from service of an older/less secure access method.

I do worry that it's a commercial problem, though.

I also think, if they resolve the problem, that a significant service credit should be offered, not just 'adding the outage time to the end of the term paid for'. If it's not fixed by the weekend I'm going to have to pay for KVS in case I need to reroute myself on an awkward itinerary.

ExpertFlyer out of service?

It seems EF is out of service since a few days. Any reason for that known?

I haven't used KVS in years - would I be correct in thinking that general availability doesn't exist on it any more?

I dropped KVS about 4 or 5 years ago when they lost access to availability. I've watched their web page periodically to see for an announcement of this feature being resolved bt I never have. So I assume it is still not working.

So in the event of them not coming back, is there an equivalent tool out there? Short of GDS access directly?

Expertflyer has been down for two days with no proper communication. Does anyone have any insight in what's happening?

Came here seeing if there was any update. Kinda crazy that there's no ETA or communication (email or otherwise).

Unfortunately, the most any of us have seem to have gotten from customer service is they have a data feed problem. With no other visibility, there does not seem to be a sense of urgency to fix this.
