Any good "to do list" app that you can also download on your Mac and have it sync with your iphone?

I know the official Apple app "Reminders" does this if you upgrade your Mac OS to the newest one, but I'd prefer to stay with my current OS.

I'm a big fan of Realmac's offering, Clear: http://www.realmacsoftware.com/clear/. The mobile offering for iPhone/iPad (it's a universal app) will set you back $1.99 ((on sale now for $.99)) (or free through their various sales) and the Mac app a cool $14.99 ((on sale now for $6.99)). I use this all day every day and love the stupid-simple design. Great to be able to go back and forth sorting, managing lists, and re-prioritizing. This app isn't going to set off alarms or close garage doors based on location-aware services, but it is going to be your go-to set-it-and-forget-it task manager.

Hope that helps!

With the availability of the new Google Maps app, there's no reason IMHO to not update to iOS 6. JMHO. :)

If you're dead-set against it, I used to use Evernote, but I don't think it was geared for reminders/to-dos, more just general note syncing. Been ages since I used it, though.

Plus if you have a newer device, you can tell Siri to create the event/reminder.

Yes, and Siri will even add tasks to Omnifocus.

I'm at huge fan of Omnifocus for a task management system. It's not cheap but it's very comprehensive. I have it on my Macs, iPhone and iPad and it syncs through their server to keep them all in agreement.

Sorry, I actually meant that I don't want to upgrade my Mac OS to the newest one. My iPhone is running the latest iOS 6 of course. :) But in order to sync data from the "Reminders" app between the phone and computer you need the latter to run on Mountain Lion, and I'd rather stick to my current OS.

Many thanks for the Realmac/Omnifocus recommendations, will definitely give them a look. I'm basically after the simplest of task managers, just a list of items that I can tick off when done - that's all. :)

If you're looking for something simple I probably wouldn't go with Omnifocus. For simple task list you might take a look at SpeedList.

I've been using Paperless and am very happy with it.

I'm glad that the Google Maps issue has been resolved. Please forgive me if I missed an update on this, but was the issue with YouTube also resolved? I don't use YouTube much but my SO is always looking up DIY videos on it, so I don't want to upgrade to iOS 6 until I can assure him that both Google Maps and YouTube will work as before.

I believe there was an official Youtube app which was originally iPhone only and now supports iPad.

There are also free third party alternatives like McTube, which lets you save movies offline.

The new dedicated Google-produced YouTube app is very functional--much more so than the previous Apple-produced version.

Clear - todo, simple, clouded
Text+ - texts even ppl on dumb phones (they don't need the app)
Fongo - free Canada wide calling
Talkatone - free US calling
Songza - free music, no auditory ads
Track8 - free coverart for your music
Flipboard - best customizable news aggregator
Squrl - best video aggregator
Google translate
Flightboard - airline times

I use several others but those are the travel related ones that come to mind.

Has anyone else tried this app?

Seems like a really good choice given that it supports iCloud. I was going to try Paperless but unfortunately they only support Dropbox and I don't see why I need to venture outside of iCloud at the moment.
