RippleAway - Social Trip Planner/Organizer

I've been working on a travel app and I'd love to get your feedback.

It's called "RippleAway" - Social Trip Planner/Organizer and is on both iPhone and Android (and Free).

I wanted a way to share trip itineraries, flight status, check-ins, and locations intimately & privately with close friends and family. You can instantly update and connect with your loved ones via email, sms, or cross-platform push notification.

www.rippleaway.com

Look forward to your feedback.

Looking for an offline maps app

For iPad 3.
After searching for and reading the most revlevent posts regarding offline maps app, I still have the following questions:
1. What is your favorite free maps app that supports offline map viewing?
2. Does MOBAC for PC work well with Galileo Offline Maps (a paid version?)?

is your iPad WiFi only ? or WiFi-3G ?

on the older iPads the only ones with a GPS chip are the 3G ones ,
I am not sure about the iPad 3

If its WiFi only there are some that will let you download maps and give directions but if you made a wrong turn it would not reroute you
CoPilot is one.....

My iPad3 is Wifi only.
I only need to be able to read maps (on iPad) that have been brought over from a PC (where maps were downloaded). I don't need navigation.

This app incredibly useful when traveling to places that you don't have decent maps for. Yes it works well with MOBAC, the main idea is to create offline maps on your pc and import into the galileo app via iTunes, dropbox or weblink. For $1.99 you can generate and import as many offline maps as you want.

You can read more at app user guide - http://galileo-app.com/help.html#create

sure they've been covered, but here are two of must-have travel apps:

Welcome to FT.

Thanks for the confirmation. ^
I will go ahead and use Galileo and MOBAC.

I do use safari to browse FT on my iPad, but looking at the MilePoint app, I wish FT had a similar one. It looks cool and lets me browse threads faster than opening and hitting back all the time.

Yes- a FT app for Ipad that works would be wonderful.

FT app for iphone seems to work -50/50- but no complaints here.

Just wish it could do some offline caching.

I just discovered the iPad Zuma game. Having loved Zuma on a desktop with a mouse for many years, I couldn't imagine it. I think using a stylus is best but overall the Zuma game is VERY well-done.

I think if you are considering buying a new smartphone, then NOKIA has a very interesting offer concerning OFFLINE MAPS. It is all built-in as I understand, and you can download entire cities over wifi and then have working turn-by-turn navigation. without roaming costs.^
To me, this might just be the reason to get a nokia phone next time, however I am still waiting for the first real reviews to come out. Such a shame though that nokia will price their new lumias quite high:mad:
