I just use Reminders, which has icloud integration.

I need something that will integrate between my Macbook and phone. Reminders would do this but I'd need to update my computer to Mountain Lion. Maybe I'll start another thread on this... :)

Can't you access your Reminders through the browser on iCloud.com?

yes

Seems like a really good choice given that it supports iCloud. I was going to try Paperless but unfortunately they only support Dropbox and I don't see why I need to venture outside of iCloud at the moment.

yes, I've used clear and it works pretty well. Clean and simple.

BTW, the current omnifocus for mac is FREE up till end of January when they release a new version.

but, it's a pretty powerful tool that has worked well for years, so if you're interested in a no limit perpetual demo, might as well DL and register.

Not sure about anyone else, but if you live in a Mac family, what you list on any device automatically updates the others (iPhone, iPad, iMac, Macmini, MBP) much like the Notes app but more modern and clean looking.

Handy app to manage Travel Budget & keep an eye on expenses during travel

Hi Guys,

I am new to the forum & thought of sharing a useful app for travellers like me. I just posted in Travel Tools forum & did not realise that there is a post on iPhone/ipad apps.

Anyway, you may want to check out Bon Voyage which can help in keeping an eye on your expenses against your travel budget during holidays. Check out:

https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/bon-...589792460?mt=8

also has travel checklist & reminders which is handy as well.

found a Free version as well but is limited, no harm trying:
https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/bon-...590417393?mt=8

Cheers
Sam

Is Dropbox really useful if you already have iCloud available nowadays?

Very. Not everyone I work with has a Mac. Also, I'm not sure iCloud has as many options for types of files to store but could be wrong about that.

Assuming you needn't worry about non-Mac users, is Dropbox still worth toying with? I already have SkyDrive so in addition to iCloud I am not convinced I need yet another storage solution...

As far as I know iCloud only works with Apple apps or music/photos. I also dont know if iCloud lets other people (Mac users or not) share files readily. So it would depend on what you want to use it for. It is really useful for me, my assistant can put Word docs or PDFS or things to read or my travel related docs in Dropbox and they appear for me. It is really nice. But it depends on what you want to do with it.

What are you storing? or are you sharing?

stimpy Jan 20, 2013 11:33 am

I don't know about iCloud, but realize that Dropbox isn't very secure. It was hacked a few months ago (supposedly easily) and I sure wouldn't put any document there that I considered private.

There are professional solutions for document management out there that are vastly more secure and intelligent, but of course they cost money. No such thing as a free lunch.
