Adding to my post about FlipBoard -- where's the refresh button? It appears that for a refresh I have to quit and restart the app. Odd.

For Seattle Folks...
Seattle Freeways is a great traffic app (better than the City/State's) KEXP Playlister- this isn't from the radio station, but it lists what the current and last few songs have been. Which you can book mark. Very helpful for me to remember what I hear! |
it looks like just 9 feeds for now. I've read that they have had some challenges keeping up with bandwidth growth so I'm not sure what their next or dev feature-set might be. But as a new app, I remain totally in love with the way it works as a reading tool.
Almost daily i find interesting news that i would have totally missed with RSS feeds and other sources. Perhaps it is because it appears as a modern electronic magazine is the reason i love it so much. Not sure, but it's the only app that i use daily.

As someone who read your review of this and downloaded it this morning (and I'm impressed by it!), I was wondering if you can have more than 9 feeds. I couldn't figure out if there was any way to add more. If not, I'll have to pick my choices carefully, I guess!

I've tried adding pages outside their recommendations and without fail the app crashes when I do so. This crashing and the limitation of 9 feeds was mentioned in the MacLife magazine I skimmed through today. I've been using it, though, and I like it. |
Another app I use a lot (probably my most-used app) is Forum Runner, which provides a nice iPhone interface to vBulletin forums.
Alas, FT isn't one of the supported sites. |

Alas, FT isn't one of the supported sites. Obviously no $$ connection between the App developer and Internet Brands. |

Very ironic since the folks that own vBulletin...Internet Brands...also own FlyerTalk.

NYC Mate is a must have if you live/work in NYC. Subway, bus, MetroNorth. It has times too and detailed maps with all the entrances to subway stations.
For maps alone, NYC Mate can't be beat. However, there are two things that it seems to lack (and that the paid app iTrans NYC has): 1) The ability to get directions using street addresses rather than stations 2) Estimated travel time for directions searches |

Great find, very slick interface, and free! Would be even better if they added NJ Transit and the PATH.
