With five FT Folders now over 50,000 points, and lots of other continuing contributions, we are moving along nicely. Currently 335th and dropping. Next target is the 200's. I can't quite seem to catch SNA_Flyer, but we are both making an impact on SteveinSTL-hotels and WinkyDink. But I think I am still leading in the average points/WU stakes.

Wow, those machines are really folding ... looks like they have put me 1000 points clear. Time for others to find those old PC's around the place and get them folding. We are now down to position 321, so the 300 barrier approaches.

There are only 5 teams between us and position 200 that are folding more points per week than the Flyer Talkers. So it is only a matter of time for us to continue the climb up the folding team ladder. Mind you, position 200 needs almost 1,000,000 points, so we are only half way there, and by the time we get to 1M points it won't be good enough for position 200!

So we still need more folders on the team.

I'm actually pleased to see that I've fallen to fifth place and am likely to fall still further in the coming weeks.

Good work folks! We have some super-folders on this team. ^

I'm enjoying being in 7th place after just starting a short time ago.

I have some good news on two fronts that I'm excited about. I've received a job offer from a new company which I will be starting in a couple of weeks. This is good news - because as I had previously reported, my current employer is slowly winding down operations. Luckilly, I still will be providing some consulting services to my current employer, which means that all of the CPU's I have working for the team will still be chunking away, at least for a few more months.

NM Apr 4, 2005 6:40 pm

Great news SNA_Flyer. Glad to hear the job front is positive. And maybe you can find a few new machines at the new employer to join the team ^ .

Thanks!

I will definately see if there are any underutilized resources. Unfortunately, it will be a little more difficult, as I am going back to 100% network engineering. No more server administration, which for me is a good thing.

way to go!

Geez guys, take a little time off & see what happens! Went to wild & remote places like Yosemite, took off 10 days, far away from any computers, and look what went on! Serious folding it seems, especially by new leader NM/aka FT User. That has dropped me suddenly to 4th, and I have a hunch lower soon (Jeffo??), but I don't care. I had my fun at first for a while, and am glad to see others. But maybe i can restart some balky hotel ones, or have some trips to soon recruit new ones??

Anyhow, keep up the hardwork. Completely agree that we need more folders more than anything (what do we have, 0.001% of ALL Ft'rs??). Here is the latest:

I believe that it may help to explain to your friends, and relatives, what it is we are trying to achieive. For my ex let me in to her place of work, with 7 computers. Amazing is what I feel when I wake up and the computer is still running... I'm making a difference.

Wingate Apr 22, 2005 2:44 am

Steve, this folding thing might be for a good cause, but you are one of about 30 people who keep coming into my hotel and installing their little packages on our public computer. I have already removed your software 3 times. Going into a business and covertly installing software on their computers is neither legal, nor moral.

Please do not install anything else on my computer again. It is hard enough to try to keep the spyware off the thing without people covertly installing other "helpful" applications.
