I haven't heard anything along those lines at all (but then I don't read the G&M), and I'm such a dork I even haunt the F@H forums so I would think that if there was some controversial change I would have seen something.

The basic software hasn't changed at all in a while - there is a new beta out but that gives you more control over the program not less.

I have it running on my home desktop, home laptop, two work laptops, and mom's laptop - no problems on any of those.

It is an easy one to scrap if there is a problem, so throw it on and if you notice a difference, uninstall. I don't think you will.

For me it was the sticky in Travel Technology.

Anybody ever notice my sig line in a post on the UA forum? Maybe I need colors or graphics...

I saw the hook in your signature. Maybe I was browsing the "travel tech" forum too? I used to be a SETI@HOME participant so it was not too much of a leap to start signing machines onto this.

3,000,000 point milestone reached!

Sometime over the weekend. We seem stuck at 153-154 though.

I'm slowly bringing machines online, I'll catch you guys someday. I'm not sure I'll ever reach 1000pts/day unless I can get access to those computers at the down at the univ. I'm starting to attend. There is a bank of 30 brand new desktops that most of the time sit unused--they are just crying out to help.

You can catch up pretty quick. The top 3 joined significantly after the effort got underway. 30 desktops is a lot of horsepower.

It's like compound interest - let time do the work for you. The key is to keep your computers online and working, after that if you have more than one folding you will move up very quickly. I just hit lucky #13 today (on Friday the 13th no less), so I imagine that all of my computers will go up in smoke later in the day. If not, I should hit the top 10 in another couple of months.

Fold on. TJ

So my two machines that are folding will eventually start generating more and more points per week than they are right now?

This link will allow you to look at more statistics relative to your contribution than you ever wanted to know :)

Yeah, I've seen that before. More than I would ever want to know. :)

Okay, bad analogy in that they will not compound. I was trying to suggest that time is more important in this game than what processor or even how many you are running.

I've got a fair number going, I just can't keep them up cranking reliably as most of them are laptops and I travel better than 50% of the time so I can't tend to them. As a result, my production looks like a rollercoaster. But if I can just keep the numbers up for a few more weeks I'll crack the top 10!

Yeah given your upward trend - doubt I will be able to catch up to you - but looking forward to top 20 in a few weeks :)

Any idea

of what kind of grunt this group is using for these kind of numbers???

114 Purdue TLT Labs 1 1 +12 66,516 270 1,999 196,013 4,397,237 32,761

Showing 1 user and ranked 114? I used the link listed above to see this info.

Was in the Melbourne office last weekend and realised that some PC's had been switched off for a couple of weeks. Promptly fired them back, so hopefully they will keep going until my next visit :)

Looks like it is someone at Purdue University has access to the "Teaching and Learning" computer labs... I'm surprised that they aren't higher in the rankings.

YAY! The team broke 150!!!

(and I made it in the top 20!)
