Question regarding new "throne" J seats on 77W:
is there more space ? On 330/340 I have a problem sleeping on my back when it's fully flat - it's too narrow at arms height. Thanks for the feedback. |

Was the LX segment in Y or C? If in Y, you'll encounter the same issue on many other Euro carriers, including the big guys like BA. If in C, you may have to phone once or twice, but eventually they'll do it.

We just booked a *A award ticket RT thru ZUR on our way to Asia. Like I said our first and last try on flying Swiss. Next time we give Swiss a Miss:td:[/QUOTE] Where is ZUR ? Sadly Swiss won't care about your business, especially if it is an award segment in Y and advance seat selection is definitely not a free service in Y. Even being SEN in our days does not mean you are a CIP to them :(. |
Unexpected Seat Change
As this will be our first time using LX, I hope some one can tell me if I should pursue this matter. My wife and I have been booked in J on LX 41 from LAX to ZRH in August. We were happy to learn we would have the new 77W and were seated together in 5DG in the smaller front cabin.
When checking on our connection today I was surprised to learn that my wife still retained 5G but I was moved to 7K. We are on the same reservation in revenue P class booked by our cruise line. When I contacted LX I was told that the departure time had changed by 20 minutes and therefore they re-seated everyone, moving a single flyer into my 5D. I have the original printed seat assignments showing 5DG. While I would understand a change of aircraft resulting in some seat changes, why a change of time? They indicated that they cannot re-seat the passenger in 5D but they sure could re-seat me without notification. If I had not stumbled upon the change, we would have been in different cabins. They will not grant us 4DG, which are open, as they are held for elite LX flyers. Do I have a reasonable complaint? If so, what are the suggested steps I should take? As always, thanks for the help. |

LX has a lot of issues recently with these re-seating issues; happened to us as well recently, but we caught it and got it fixed. Very annoying. |
Quick question for someone in the know...
2 upcoming Swiss flights in Business, both on A330 United award ticket. I was able to access seat maps on Swiss website and it allowed me to select 6A for both legs. These appear to be "throne" seats, which I thought were only able to be pre-selected by SEN/HON. Is there something sub-par about 6A on the A330? |

Actually, I would rate 6A above par as it has a much larger cubbyhole with much more room for your feet.
I will keep it :) I have limited experience with Swiss and really enjoyed my previous flight. Looking forward to a couple more. Thanks again. |

Regarding the new 777 from ZRH-LAX... For a solo traveler is any of the "throne" seats better than one of the pairs? In other words, a throne seat at the rear of the cabin is still better than one of the pairs towards the front? Looks like they're all basically the same except for the ones that have no window. Looking forward to flying Swiss for the first time!

Good question! I am curious about the answer too in terms of differences in width and comfort between the old and new throne seat:

Thanks to all. We have been able to get seats together in row 8 and I will wait until T-24 to try a return to the mini cabin.

Flying ZRH - JNB in F soon, and seat 2A is not selectable. Is this seat normally blocked for SEN/HON or is there really someone else in the cabin?
Obviously not a problem, but it would have been great to have a "private" honeymoon experience. Thank you for any info! |
