It might depend on the flight then, because I don't see 6DG marked as SEN/HON seats in my upcoming A343 reservations. Even A seats, odd K seats plus 4DG, not 6DG...
Could it be that you can book these as FTL but your companion (no status?) cannot? Call LX and reserve 6DG! Add: as you appear to be trying to book seats on the LH or M&M site (you refer to green and yellow marked seats): try the LX site. The LH or M&M sites are unreliable with LX seat assignments. |
Thanks for the tip, I will try that. I guess it could be relating to baby bassinet as was mentioned.
EDITED: I had a look via LX site and there the seat shows "reserved/ occupied". So all seems in order and only LH site somehow didn't show the seat. |
I am booking my first flight ever with LX from SFO - ZRH (and return) in Business. Right now I am booked into 5A in the "Stubli" cabin. Now I see that the First fares have come down and are only $3,000 more than I paid for Business, so I was looking to move into the front cabin. But the LX site says that the window seats are unavailable and Expert Flyer has them with an X and says they are blocked, but unassigned. Since I am such a plane nerd, I don't want to move into First unless I can get a window seat. Looking over other posts here, it looks like LX blocks out seats for SEN and HON members. Is there a point in time when they usually release these seats? I am paying thousands of dollars for these flights and would hope to have some flexibility. Thanks for any input.

As I did not fly with LX for more than 3 years now (have yet to fly on an A330-300 and an A340-300 with new C...), and have no intention to do so in the near and "middle" future, I do not really have the knowledge (and interest) to make accurate updates on this thread.
What is new: *OS has based some Dash8-400 at ZRH for replacing the Saab 2000 op. by Etihad Regional / Darwin Airline. *LX has introduced a "Super NEK" with 3 more seat rows than on the LH-A320 with "low density-NEK". This is now one more of the manifold reasons why I'm not really motivated to set a foot on an LX-plane anymore... |

On LH it is only on rows 1 and 2 of the A321 IIRC in order not to exceed the max number of pax they can accommodate without having to add an emergency exit (which is rather difficult). |
So do I understand correctly that all the good seats in long haul business class (such as the single window seats on the K side) are blocked for SEN/HON members and are not even available to Star Alliance Gold members?
|
Not really.... some of the single seats are available for booking and every seat is available at OLCI.

Just added the E190 and the A320/A321 with "NEK2.0" on the first post.
Who will try the birds out and send information concerning the exit-rows (especially whether there are windows or not), seat-maps and C-Class-occupancy (especially whether all seats are occupied on the E190 or not)? |

Star Gold Economy Class Seat Assignment
Can I get an advance seat assignment in Economy on a LX flight as a Star Gold? Or must I pay for the ability to select a seat?
I'm not looking for an exit row or any kind of premium seat. I just want the ability to select an aisle seat somewhere in Economy Class. I tried searching, but most Star Gold people were asking about premium seats or exit rows. Thanks in advance. |
