wasnt the only difference the absence of coat space in the door?

Anyone hear any more recent rumblings as to what may be done with the A330s? Will their cabins be upgraded or refreshed?

A quick question if I may please!

Will be flying Business class with Swiss Air LHR-ZRH-BKK next January. Im a single traveller, Ive booked seat 7 G.(Zurich to Bkk on a 777).

A good choice?! The "throne" seats, are of course more expensive. I like easy access, so a window (yeah I know the throne seats are window seats too!) seat, isn't much good to me.
Ive read the middle seats are slightly better, hence me booking 7G , on both legs. The only "con" I can see, is they are near to toilets, so may be a snag? Doesn't really bother me...so basically, Im asking are all middle row seats practically the same, or are any better than others! Thanks in advance!

they are not all the same. If you take an aisle seat in the middle, then some are closer to the aisle and the one beside has more storage room and slightly farther from the aisle, as the storage space is in between.

7G which you have selected is one with less storage space. I would go with 7D.
i.e. uneven rows the D seat, even rows the G seat.

There are quite a few websites with seatmaps, seatguru pretty well displays the layout.

Many thanks for that! 7D is taken, I think I will book 10G as that is next to a "throne" seat, so it should" have slightly better storage?!

10G is certainly good, you‘ll have a bigger feeling of space. Yes.

I don‘t know how you feel in the aircraft… YMMV, but my wife and I feel that rows 6 and 7 are too cool for us, we either take the Stübli or row 8 and behind.

enjoy your flight and tell us about your experience!

I have indeed booked 10G for both legs...looking forward to it!

I will post a report on my experiences.........though it will be a 3 month trip!!

My F Award upgrade was just confirmed. Seats have not been assigned. traveling with my wife and would like to sit on the D/G seats. I think 1D is often blocked.
But why on earth would a single traveling passenger select a center seat, when there are windows seats available?

any thoughts by you F-experts? are both 1D and 2D blocked/reserved?

edit.... added a 2nd screenshot of my other flight. upgr with evouchers. same situation, but now 2G seems blocked

It's probably down to the fact that the centre seat ends up being the only selectable seat, particularly when one is not HON/SEN.

Last time I travelled on LX F, I was very keen to assign a window but was unable to, due to 1A/K being unofficially blocked (i.e. shows as available on EF but not on the app, and phone agent said she couldn't assign it either) and 2A/K being occupied.

59Impala Jul 13, 2022 10:03 am

so I called the SEN line, and in fact they are reserved, and for single traveling pax. not blocked or anything. just weird.

oh well.... 1st world problem anyhow :D

Below detailed level of notes is now amazingly available with wonderful graphics and detail in AWESOME seatmaps:

Airbus A220-100 and A220-300
Airbus A320s
Airbus A321s
Airbus A330
Airbus A340
Swiss 777

This would be a great candidate for a thread with a wiki.

I just updated my own notes on the A220 and will post here for sharing.

I also include my other notes which I got with the help of another forum.

A220-100 has only 30" of pitch in all rows except the exit row which is row 10. Source: https://runwaygirlnetwork.com/2016/0...duction-cabin/

A220-300 has 32" in front and 30" in the back. The pitch changes from row 14 included. (There is no row 13). Row 11 has 32" pitch as well, and the exit row in row 12 about 34". Since row 11 is limited recline, row 10 is the last "full comfort" row on the A223.

A220-100: All bad except exit and mabye 1D

A220-300: 1 to 10 OK, 11 almost OK, 12 exit row, 14 to back bad

HELVETIC Embraer : tail Nr HB-JVL to HB-JVR have 112 Seats, HB-JVS to HB-JVV are with 104 seats.

A320 with the new config:
First 4 rows 32"
5th row 31"
Following 4 rows 30"
1st exit row 34"
2nd exit row 33"
Following 15 rows 29"
Last 3 rows 28"

https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.fly...ced320f1a4.png
Rows 11 and 12 remain exit row on the A320. The front exit row then has 34 "seat spacing (instead of 35"), the rear exit row remains at 33" pitch. In the" normal "seats on the A320, the seat spacing decreases the further back you go (4x 32 ", 1x 31", 4x 30 ", then Exit with 34" + 33 ", then it goes down to 15x 29" and finally 3x 28 ").

A321 with the new config: The configuration at the exits changes on the A321. The Cabin Attendant Seat (CAS) moves from 9F to 10F, seat 11F disappears. But 12F has almost unlimited legroom ... At door three, the emergency exit row 25 now has a full 6 seats with almost unlimited legroom, but waiting guests from the additional lavatory. Here, too, the seat spacing becomes tighter the further back you go (5x 32 ", 3x31", 46 "at the exit, 8x29", 5x 31 ", 36-61" at the exit, 1x 30 ", 12x 29").
A321:
Rows 11-15 with low 29 "seat spacing in the middle
Here again detailed:
1-5: 32 "
6-9: 31 "
10: Exit
11-19: 29 "
20-24: 31 "
25: Exit
26:30 "
27-39: 29 "
(Thanks Natalie)

Hey guys,

Just curious if anyone can check EF for me.
I have a flight with LX, YUL-ZRH on 10/Nov/22.

I am in 11K for now but never had the opportunity to fly in the Stübli.
On the website, I can select 5A/B/G but would prefer the K seats (or 4A throne)
Are these seats simply "blocked" until check-in for SEN / HON members, or have they been booked?

Also, since the flight is still a few months out, what are the chances that one of the K seats (or 4A throne) opens up / stays available? Probably slim eh?

I am SEN and tried to book. Row 4 is all taken. 5ABD is all that is available in the Stübli

Thank you for checking, I appreciate your efforts.

The final question then- I've flown LX J a few times, all previous times I've been in a throne seat.
This time I went for a single seat, 11K, my logic being that the footwell might be a little larger.
Should I just take the throne, or keep 11K?

I don't have enough experience with the single seats, as I only travel with my wife :D. we only once took the throne seats each and enjoyed it. From a storage-perspective you have much more room in the throne seats.
