same here, was able to select seats for my next LX/OS flights, I don't believe it's feature, more it's a bug:)

And you are *G right? How much time before your flight? With me it's less than 2 weeks.

I am *G; flight is for end of June.

Another odd data point - previously I could not BID for upgrade to first since I was on a code-share flight (not a native LX Flight #), but at same time of being able to choose throne seat (without a fee), I was able to bid for first. Guess we'll see if they both stick.

Checking in here before asking in the Aeroplan forum.

Booked LX YYC-ZRH, and then ZRH-JFK through Aeroplan reward. Seats are not assigned, Aeroplan says it's partner metal so I need to select seats through them. Swiss website says seats are not possible to select for this leg. Swiss customer support says Edelweiss is operator so they can't do anything. Edelweiss website will not retrieve booking. Edelweiss customer service number (only one I could find) is a local swiss number, so I would incur long distance charges to phone, so I have not done that yet.

How can I select seats?!

Still hoping for some insight to this

On a different note, return is on 333J with wife. Are there preferable seats for the double seats? 5A/B available, 9A/B available, and otherwise all center aisle in larger cabin.

When do seats 1A/K open for selection to non-HON/SEN? Just at online check in? Despite being SEN, I don't want to associate my SEN number to the reservation as I'm going to credit it somewhere else

I have Edelweiss award flight with a LX flight number. (Den-zrh). Could not select a seat via website but was successful using the Swiss or Austrian mobile app

The app seemed to work. Cheers

Swiss A330 seats

Folks

when traveling with young kids on A330, would you go with the 1st or 2 choice of seats? 14BDG,12D or 6DGK,7K. Is the bulkhead basically a wall in front of you and is the lavatory and cafe right in front of row 6?

thank you

Answered your question in the other thread, bulkhead is ok, there is a little ledge before the wall that you can put stuff on (except during take off and landing). Lav and galley are no issue & there is a curtain separating the galley from the cabin that is closed at night.

Can parente in 14D and 14C keep an eye on a 7yr old child in 12A or it’s too far away? My kid loves window seats but wondering how good the supervision will be. Thanks

These seatmaps give you the best idea. Adult in 14C won't be able to see very much: the parent in that seat will definitely notice if the young one in 12A gets up and/or out of the seat, but not if the offspring doesn't touch the veggies.

Selecting bulkhead row with more legroom is $130 for my upcoming flight. Bidding for a PE on the 777 with a "good" chance is at around $500. Do you guys think it is worth it for PE or getting the bulkhead legroom is good enough?
This is a 10hr trans-Atlantic flight.

Booked overnight flight on A333 in 11 A/B with wife. Rows 6-12 D/G are wide open (no other left side open). Should we stay here or move to one of the middle pairs? On way back east, we're in 14 A/B, and 6, 12, and 14 D/G are available. Don't care about sleeping here- mostly about storage, comfort, etc (though I do somewhat like to gaze out window on occasion).

Thoughts? Thx!

Looking for advice on 333 business class seating. Currently in 9K which I understand is missing a window, it's the only K available.
  • Does that mean no window at all, or just one not ideally positioned - AeroLopa makes it look like there is in fact a window next to your head.
  • Does the sidewall impinge on elbow room? I've found this to be the case on other aircraft where there's a missing window.
  • It's a redeye US-Europe flight so I really just care about sleep. While maybe I can get a free throne if there's still one left closer to departure, the only other options are pair seats. I know to avoid A/B, so am I better off in a center pair vs. 9K?
  • On the center pairs, commentary on the trade-off of larger footwell vs. less privacy in the seat directly on the aisle?
