You say that you choose window/aisle, yet you then say that it felt claustrophobic, and you've flown middle seats since and they were more enjoyable. Sounds like middle seats are the way to go from your post

Hi,

exactly! in LX now, traveling with a couple, middle seats. If posible, in the front mini cabin.

Why do you prefer 2A?

You won't be staring at a wall and you don't have to walk in front of 1D/G on the way to the bathroom.

So did you mean to say

Traveling as a couple we always chose Window/Aisle.
as opposed to

Traveling as a couple we always choose Window/Aisle.
?

Ah - I don't mind staring at a wall; reminds me of my time in the asylum.

So, 1K would need to cross over 1D/G to get to the rest room or can you go forward and around?

Of course, you can also take the way through the galley. And even if you did cross in front of 1D/G, what's the big deal? It's not like you would be stepping on those passengers' toes, there is a wall between their seats and the small space you would walk through.

343 New F?

I'm flying ZRH-HKG in F, is this aircraft changed to new F? I have seat 2A.

No.

It's pretty simple with LX longhaul flights now:

A343 = old F, new C
A333 = new F, new C

A few more seating questions...

1. On the A333/A343, the even numbered A seats, other than A4 (AKA 'the throne') is there any difference at all between A6,A8,A10, and A12 or are they all much of a muchness? Any of them Preffered?

2. On S/H the A and F seats in row 1 seems to be blocked on an upcoming flight from ZRH to LHR, but for whom?

Expertflyer shows them as blocked, same as the Preffered seats, but unlike the Preffered seats, these seem blocked in Manage My Booking as well (or rather they don't show at all, like there is no seat there...) and the LX rep couldn't even assign them for me over the phone (unlike 4A which he had o problem doing for one of my upcoming flights).

Any ideas?

According to some, 6A has a wider cubby hole. But other than that, they're all the same.

Regarding short-haul, I had no problem assigning seat 1A on A319, and I have no M&M status.

In LX I never reserve a seat short haul because it cannot be done while booking the ticket and I can't be bother to phone, but in LH I have seen that you may only reserve a seat in the 1st row(Y and C) if you have status.

I usually don't have a problem either, and like you I recently booked a flight for a friend with no status either and had no problem getting him 1A, but I've come across this a couple of times now and wondered why this is.

As I said, Expertflyer shows seats as blocked, not occupied, yet when looking at the seat map through MMB the seats are simply not there and over the phone the agent said he can't assign them either (Yes, I know I just repeated what I basically said in my first post...)

One of the A single seats has no window, think it is 8 or 10A.

I usually call in. Is there a reason you can't book LX online before T-24?
And do you need M&M status or *A status because with *A status (both *S and *G, I've had no problem reserving the first seat of Y on A333 and A343, and the first seat of C on A319)

That was my first time ever on LX short-haul, as I usually fly between TLV and EWR (both long-hauls or at least long-haul equipment) and when flying to LHR, I fly BA. Good to know though in case I do indeed fly short-haul in the future

Good to know. So it's 4A, 6A, and then 12A and 8 or 10 (whichever has the window), and only then the other even A seat

Red eye in Y on 333

Hi all, have the following options on a 333 red eye in Y:
- 22D (bulkhead aisle, center section)
- 29D or G (exit row aisle, center section)
- 38G (normal center section aisle)

No windows available, except row 45...

Main goal is minimum disruption, extra legroom/space always a bonus. What would you choose?

Thanks in advance!
Andre
