Currently have 2D & 2G reserved.

We have not flown in F on LX before. This will be the "old" F product as far as I can tell? [Only Seatguru seems to suggest otherwise]

Yes, all LX 343 have the "old" F seats, which are still great seats. Seatguru seems to have mixed up the 333 and 343 as far as F goes (suites for the 343 and seats for the 333 on seatguru), at least they have finally removed the old 343 layout.

Are these good seats for a couple traveling together? Is there a divider between the seats?

See a good picture of the cabin here: Link

Would we be better with 2A & 2D (discussions on seatblocking / facility seat notwithstanding) ?

D&G are a good choice for a couple travelling together. I think being in A/D or G/K might be a bit awkward if somebody else would be in G or D, respectively.

Personally, I have chosen 1A/2A or 1K/2K when travelling with Mrs. Goliath in the past, since we both prefer window seats - but I guess that's up to everybody's own preference (and to LX' system allowing you to book those windows seats or not).

Thank you goliath, especially for the photo link.

We will stick with D&G unless Mrs FD fancies a window seat - but we'd probably prefer to sit together.

I have heard a lot of good things about LX F and certainly have been happy with their C service.

I have some questions regarding my upcoming LX flights in Y and C on the A340-300

On the outbound Y flight, I've managed to score 23J which is an aisle bulkhead seat. Anyone know whether the legroom is good, or should I go with a regular Y seat?

Also on the return I've booked 5K in the minicabin. Is this a good seat or should I change to the main C cabin? It will be a daytime flight

Thanks a lot!

For Y, yes, 23J is a very good seat. If you're very tall and like to stretch out your legs, then the bulkhead will be restrictive. However, the legroom is still much better than a regular seat, and the knee room is great. Also, it being the aisle, you can stretch your legs under the curtain if need be (separating Y and C)

For C, I'd stick with the mini cabin

5K is good. The only drawback might be galley noise. But if you don't wonna sleep it's not ok. :) I like the privacy in the mini-cabin.

23J is a good seat as mentioned above.

I see, yeah the flight is a daytime flight so I won't sleep much. Hope the galley noise won't be disturbing. Otherwise I'd just move to 9K or any other window facing single seat in the main section.

What are the odds of ending up next to an infant at 23J? Also any chance they'll move me from that seat in case someone needs it more then me, i,e another infant?

Where to confirm seating?

Hi guys! I just booked a TATL on LX 17 and return on LX 14 in C.

Could of course not make a seat choice during booking (and I wanted the so called "throne seats", even numbered A seats, right?)and when I called they gave me the usual "It's a facility seat, bla, bla but with very little persistance they agreed to let me select 6A and 4A (as well as seats on my connecting flights).

Not to say that I don't trust them but I'd like to see that they actually put me in those seats. I can't seem to see his anywhere, not on swiss.com not on lufthansa.com and not on checkmytrip.com.

Is there anywhere I can actually see my seats?

PS: Looking forward to this trip and experiencing the new LX C Cabin that just looks amazing, SK are you listening? ;).

Cheers!

No, not if you only have a LX booking reference.

You can't actually see your seat until OLCI, but there's a workaround: Use Expertflyer/KVS and see if your seat is shown as available. If it's not, you're all set.

If you want to be absolutely sure, call in and change seats. Then check back on EF/KVS and see if your original selection is now available and your new seat is not. If that is the case, you can be pretty sure that it's working. Call in again and change back to your preferred seat.

That said, personally I'd just rely on the phone agent. If I book way in advance, I might give them another call closer in, say, a week or so before departure, to reconfirm - though I probably wouldn't even bother.

I have always relied on the LX agents and haven't had a problem. Obviously, YMMV

LX A333 whY....

Oh well, so im stuck in Y for a flight from DXB to ZRH. Its the first time in Y for many years so havent tried the Y cabin on the A333 yet. I can chose between 29AB 29JK and 23D as they are SEN blocked. What should I go fore?
Guess I would prefer a window seat, but is there even a window at 29AK? And how great is the legroom in any of these seats?

Just a side note, how is the upgrade availability in general on the DXB route for SEN (afcourse hope to get a free op-up ;) ) ? The flight is on the 20 December - looks pretty open in all classes by the moment.

Thanks for any replies! It the first time for me in the M&M forum.

For legroom, go for the 29 AB/JK, or the 23D. 29 is just by behind door 3, and has great legroom, but you have the toilets on the other side of your space, so you might see people crowd there if the lines become long. You would need to twist a bit to look out of a window, there is a stretch of wall before the windows start again after the door. I'd go for 29 AB/JK if available. In 23D your neighbor will still disturb you when getting in and out of the seat.

Thanks CPH-Flyer, guess I will stick to 29A ^

I am flying soon with a 6 weeks old baby on the 340-300 and we are in business class.

Any idea where are the bassinet seats in business?
