Didn't pay too much attention to the K seats last time so not sure how inferior they are to the A seats?

Woops, my bad. I'd go with 12A. 4K has the benefit of the bulkhead and I love the mini-cabin, but I find the even-numbered K seats much worse than the odd-numbered K seats.

A difficult choice. Only the bulkhead (rows 4 and 6) seats have full-sized foot cubbyholes AFAIK. On the other hand 4K has a table on the right and only an armrest between the seat and the aisle. I've only sat in 6K ane 7K (in addition to 4A) and actually preferred 7K to 6K. I'd go for 12A.

I was assigned 12A on a fairly full flight a couple of months ago but since I was op-upped at the gate I never experienced 12A. ;)

Maybe I'm just a small person, but I've never really seen that much of a difference in cubby space.

I'll let you know what it's like... :)

Because the even-numbered K seats have the table by the window and only the arm rest between the seat and the aisle. I also prefer the odd-numbered K seats with the table between you and the aisle. I didn't feel wedged in as I did on the "throne". The arm rest by the window can be lowered to make the seat wider.

Sorry, I hijacked the question. I'm glad we agree. :)

No problem :)

Had I said it, it would've been a long and winded answer anyways :p

Thanks guys, very valid reasons indeed.

Correct for rows 4 and 6. For other rows:The foot-hole depends on the seat(s) in front, so the K seats have one that is open on one side, the single A seats have a small one due to the foot-hole being under the armrest of the two seats in front.

I have seats 30 A and B from ZRH to EWR on the A340. Question is - would row 23 be better?

I really like 23B and 23J. I think 30 has some more legroom, so if you're tall, stick with 30. Otherwise, if you're not too tall (like me, 5"8,) take 23.
Problem I have with them though is they're narrow seats

I'm travelling as a couple on LX and got 5AB assigned right now. This is quiet nice because of the window. But do you rather recommand the middle seats in C if you travel in a party of two?
When I travel by myself I usually take 4A - I don't have any experience on the middle seats or 5AB.

Traveling as a couple we always choose Window/Aisle. We did so the 1st time we flew in the new LX Biz I felt a bit claustrophobic.
We have flown twice afterwards and we had middle seats(I did not bother to contact Swiss to book these seats and where not available at OLCI), and I enjoyed more the flights but I am not 100% sure if it was only due to the seats or to all the other aspects of the flight.

Why do you prefer 2A?

You say that you choose window/aisle, yet you then say that it felt claustrophobic, and you've flown middle seats since and they were more enjoyable. Sounds like middle seats are the way to go from your post
