Caviar Service

It would have been great if the three caviars were coming from various suppliers instead of one Swiss label.

They should also invest in proper caviar spoons to replace the metal one as it affects the tasting - thankfully, I always carry my own silver-gilt spoon from Petrossian.

Could not agree more, just a word of warning to stay clear of LH F atm, you would not want the stuff they are serving anywhere near your Baccarat …..

Would it be possible to view the business class menu ahead of the flight? Similar to how you can for LH flights.

No except that on flights from ZRH you can see the mains listed in the pre order menu.

“SWISS Connoisseur Experience” is a culinary concept that brings gastronomic highlights on board SWISS First. During a period of two weeks, special menus are available on board of all flights departing from Switzerland. The purpose of the SWISS Connoisseur Experience is to serve high quality products which aren’t available all year round and to surprise our frequent travellers with a unique dining experience. In the course of this year, the specials are available as follows at the last two weeks of a menu cycle:

End of February: Caviar Tasting
End of May: Seafood Festival
End of August: SWISS Steakhouse
End of November: Alba truffle collection
The start of the series is thus made with an exclusive caviar tasting high above the clouds. The tasting is offered on all flights leaving Switzerland from 15 to 28 February 2023.
They all sound appealing, but it's a shame it's only 2 weeks, which makes it more of a marketing gimmick than a good faith attempt to give F passengers something different/special.

They would actually have to market it for it to be a “marketing gimmick”!

I think it’s a nice ‘surprise and delight’, it’s special and I don’t think it needs to be there full-time. Also a nice change considering LX F menus stay the same for far too long. A small airline like Qantas manages to have completely different F menus on each F route.

I would actually love to see them market it in the sense of telling us in advance when the experience can be expected.

They market it (web site), but in a half-a$$ed way. I didn’t say it needs to be full time. Just longer than two weeks.

They should just announce the periods for the next year or so and I would take that into account, among other things, when making bookings.

I do hope they will continue the Caviar until after April 24, as we fly on that date.
