Asked the MdC who said it is a „test phase“ to please make a report and he promised he will.

Could save 300 Euro next time on the ticket and buy a 20 Euro bottle of champagne in the back, still saving a lot. Not sure that’s what LX intended.

Flew with Swiss in biz a few weeks ago from LHR-BKK via Zurich. The cabin crew were great on all segments and cannot fault the endless times they kept offering drink refills but found it strange that on an evening flight LX 340 from Zurich to LHR they said they did not serve hot drinks on that flight! Any particular reason for this? Overall I thought the food offerings to be ok but there was not a huge choice. I was personally disappointed on outward leg with a pre ordered Zurich style veal, I found it to be inedible due to the salt content, I was not offered another choice, perhaps my taste buds were at fault! The 'continental' breakfast of cheese and cold meats was minuscule and needed to be topped up with bread and croissants.
I managed to bag a 'throne' seat for outward and return legs to Bangkok and although I am quite a big guy, I found the seat to be comfortable enough and I slept quite well even allowing for the small footwell. Again, the bedding was nothing special but perfectly acceptable. I do think Swiss needs to increase its choice of on screen entertainment which in my view was limited.
I suppose the bottom line is would I pay to fly in their business class again? I think (particularly if a good fare was available) the answer would be a definite YES They were by no means spectacular and are certainly not up there with the likes of Qatar or Singapore but they were very solid, crew were great, and Zurich is a great airport to transit in because of size .

Just had my first cheap Swiss bubbles. Well half of the half glass I requested and have to say it is a major step down. Had better bubbles on LH short-haul recently, which should send shivers down the spine of some LX managers.

Not a big fan of the LX F main courses, but thought the lamb shoulder was among the 3 best main courses I ever had on an airplane. But tastes are different ...
